How to dilute mones

I have a few mones i need to diffuse because the mcg i bought was an od with one spray. Can any one explain the best way to go about it?

You can use cologne or perfumers alcohol, measuring pipettes and spray bottles are sold here or can be got from ebay or pharmacies.

Simply divide the quantities to give you the mcg you need eg to half it, simply divide by two, quarter, divide by 4 etc, then draw-off the appropriate amount of the phero mix and dilute to the new volume/mcg.

what about aftershave? can you dilute it in there? Cause if you dilute it in cologne it smells too strong! aftershave is less potent

Should be fine, yes.

Your talking about single molecules right ? I would not dilute the mixes even if you bought them to high. To much potential to mess them up.

@tisha23 im not sure if its single molecule,i was thinking bout diluting p79

Yes P79 is a putative not a mix so its what we call a single molecule. A mix is something like ammo or TUTH. They contain multiple putatives.

Ahh thank you Trisha, for clearing that up. So back to square one, what should i do? should i risk it and mix some of it or try to get good at spraying just half a spray so i’d get 25 mcg? Because P79 intensifies what ever else im waring so i think 50 mcg would def be OD for me.

You might want to add a fixative aswell like dpg because adding more alcohol will cause the molecule to diffuse faster/not last as long.

If it were me I would get some empty to-go bottles. I believe you can still order those in the store.

Then use the “spray directly in the bottle” method to mix it.

So suppose you normally use 2 sprays of ammo and you want 25 mcg of P79 (still high in my opinion but this is just and example) You would open the empty to-go. Line up the nozzle of P79 so you can spray it right into the empty bottle. Use one spray and do the same with Ammo using 4 sprays. Gently swirl to mix. This should give you six sprays in the bottle or 2 applications of 3 sprays each and bring down the 50mcg to 25 mcg.

It’s possible, but not ideal, to just dilute with vodka. It’s better, but more expensive, to dilute with perfumer’s alcohol. If you dilute this you’ll need to add some kind of oil based fixative. DPG is commonly suggested, though I get bad reactions to it especially if I put it on skin. I know it’s used in many other products, but that’s no consolation to me. You can use grapeseed oil or monolaurin or a tiny bit of other oils which will help slow the diffusion of the scent.

I’m still learning about scents helping with diffusion, etc. so not sure if some other scent needs to be added or what type of scent would be ideal.
