I am fed up of being cute!

No, I meant it in the literal and exact sense as you’ve defined it. (do you honestly think those people don’t enjoy that?)

Also about compliments. . . learning to give one is actually easier than learning to TAKE one IMO

i Think ALL you women are sexy. (sprays on TUTH)

Happytappin, that was just the thing to make me smile :stuck_out_tongue: and Thankyou for the compliment (I won’t say for all of us, but I’m thinkin it). Where were you when the last a**hole was bein mean to me? Don’t answer, u were probly thinking of the hot chick you are spraying TUTH for

PS we still need an EEK! face for the post icons.

Too true on both counts :frowning:. But I found IS makes me mellow and smiley enough that when they come, I just smile now and say thankyou.

Which a**hole??? where is that Sh*t!!?

Right here in Seattle. Unfortunately only half a mile from my house :open_mouth:

I don’t give a flying fig what those people enjoy. As far as I’m concerned it’s their cross to bear, not mine, and if they feel the need to feel/behave that way with/to me and show me such, I remove myself from their company. I’m nobody’s prisoner, lol.

Yes, it’s was hard for me when I was younger. As I matured, I had a few realizations and then made a conscious effort to overcome my discomfort with it. First overcoming feeling the need to apologize for or justify a compliment to myself. You know what? In my mind I do look good/nice/hot. Whether it’s a sincere compliment or not, I don’t need it but I long ago learned to accepted it graciously and appreciate it as a nice gesture when it’s genuine.

I just don’t get hung up about it. I give the response as the compliment is given to me, if that makes sense to you. If the compliment is sincere/genuine, so is my appreciative response. If I feel as though you’re disingenuous and just blowing smoke up my skirt for some reason…i.e., it behooves you to do so for no other reason than you want something from me/I can do something for you, then I don’t appreciate it but will offer a polite thank you anyway. No skin off my nose.

Bella

LOL! Thank you Haptap! Back at ya, babe! fans self :o :stuck_out_tongue:

Bella

…
:open_mouth:

:open_mouth: Yes, noses are quite resilient and don’t actually skin easily . . . Except for that time I fell out of a really tall tree face first. Branches took much skin: forehead, nose, chin, shoulders etc you get the picture . That saying reminds me of that still and that happened when I was 8!

@Astrea: Ow. Never the face, but had most of the skin taken off my palms once. I feel your pain.

@happytappin: You’re a sweetheart. Thank you. :slight_smile:

Hmm, I think at one time or another I’ve managed to skin everything, lol. I used to play a lot of sports.

Bella

Ditto, Bella, but I generally ended up with bruises. There was a REASON I chose my personal polo colors to be black and blue…:roll_eyes::D:cool:

:open_mouth: Oh yeah! lol Many, many bruises. I didn’t break skin too often tho’, so the ones that happened are kind scraped into my brain haha. Unfortunately, 95% of my injuries resulted from unsupervised adventures.

Bruises? Check! An occasional sprain here and there. Crutches once when that gnarly 6’ 2" amazon charged me during a Lacrosse game. :open_mouth: White girls can jump…just not high enough sometimes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Bella

:open_mouth: And sometimes white girls don’t jump, just to run you down. They also wield ground hockey sticks in unseemly and crippling ways. And I’m not talking about leg crippling :open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth: . . . . . aaahrrggghhhhhhhhh I feel the pain from that incident when I think of it. I got that bitch back, tho’.

Ooowwwww! I bet I know where THAT hockey stick landed… >.<

Caught a “line-drive” polo ball (about same size & weight as baseball, solid plastic, travels at speeds 100-150mph) right on the tip of the heel once. :open_mouth: (Mind, I was wearing double-thickness mulehide boots. Basically leather body armor.) Hurt like crazy and I yelled, “OWWWW!” then, “I’m on the ball! I’m on the ball!” and kept going. Sucker left my Achilles tendon sore for a year or so. Finally stopped hurting.

Then I started feeling this odd, stuck-something-in-my-foot sensation in the bottom of my heel whenever I’d walk. After a couple weeks of that, I start noticing a little dark spot that looked like it was under the skin. After another few weeks, I got out of the shower and was drying off when a big hunk of the skin on the bottom of my heel sloughed away. There was a smooth “capsule” in the flesh, and inside that capsule was what looked like a little, hard, jagged black rock. Turns out it was a necrotized bone chip off my heelbone from the polo ball. I’m told I was lucky not to get gangrene or blood poisoning.

Speaking of sports, I gather that sweat contains pheromones, yes? But from sports, or workouts? Or just from, ah, “being in a swivet” over somebody? So far I haven’t found a thread detailing that, and I’m curious…

:open_mouth: Just to be clear, I was guarding the ball; she blocked me, hit my hockey stick out of my hands and then slammed her stick UP from between my legs . . . (shudder and gag) into my crotch. I was carried off the field and couldn’t walk for 2 days. I quit hockey before I hit the ground. Really thankful that bitch didn’t do permanent damage - I’m grateful to not have to explain mutilated Pink Bits . . . :open_mouth:

Sweat is sweat - isn’t it? Or is it like tears that vary chemically with emotion? Maybe sport and workout is the same with horizontal folk dancing being the different chemistry. Thoughts? Facts? Google? :stuck_out_tongue:

Yyeeeaaaaah, that’s exactly what I figured. (Played indoor “field” hockey in HS. Got “branded” on the thigh with a stick. Mark lasted several weeks.) We need an owie emot.

I THINK…that sweat can vary with situation, body chemistry, etc. But I’m not sure how the pheromones factor in. When I was studying biology/anatomy, they didn’t cover mones, just said that sweat had 2 functions: 1) cooling the body, 2) eliminating certain wastes. As mones don’t fall into either category…

You’re very welcome ladies!! (sprays on TUTH & p86)
