Hey, everyone! I am a 25 year old gay dude and completely new to all of this! I’m currently living in Florida (which iirc is an ideal environment for sprays) but plan on moving to the Pacific Northwest in the next six months. I’m curious how the difference in environment might influence the type of products that would be ideal?
I’m typically very sensitive to cologne/perfume/spray deodorant, and often have difficulty breathing and/or I develop intense headaches when I come in contact with people wearing them. It’s my understanding that pheromones are subtle and picked up on a more subconscious level, but any type of spray gives me pause. Have you heard of anyone having problems with these?
I typically use scented body wash when I bathe. If I pick up some pheromones, should I discontinue that and go for a basic bar of soap or unscented body wash? What do you fellas normally use?
I currently work in the restaurant industry and I am always looking for ways to have fun with my guests and maximize their experience (and my tips). I am typically a very bubbly and fun individual who spends his time dancing, singing, and joking with everyone. The description for Instant Shine sounds like my natural personality; people often compliment me on my smile and happy demeanor. However, I tend to get flustered when we get busy and I completely lose my cool! I become a deer in the headlights, and I snap at my coworkers when they ask for favors. Is there a recommended pheromone to help keep me relaxed and calm during stressful situations? Has anyone had any experience with pheromones that help people open up their wallets and tip better?
Once I move I’m going to be going on a job hunt. Which products would be best for interviews and getting noticed while handing out resumes? Perhaps something that would also put a property owner at ease and convince them that I would be an ideal tenant?
I’m much more interested in business and friendly social interactions than anything romantic at the moment. This has pretty much always been the case, but especially now as I plan on moving and don’t see the point of starting a new relationship right before I kick rocks. That being said, romance is absolutely something I will want to pursue eventually! The problem is, almost every time a man is interested in me, I am completely oblivious. There have been countless times where I have had a friend come up to me and tell me that some guy was into me but I made it clear I wasn’t interested so he gave up, and that’s usually the first time I’m hearing about it! Is there something that will either make me more aware of what’s going on, or make the men who are interested in me more open about it? Instant Honesty/Openness’ names suggest they might be good for that but I already have a lot of people telling me their problems/life stories (kind of like what I’m doing for you guys now lol), and while I’m often interested in the lives of others, it gets tiring after a while and I’m not trying to enhance that to an excessive degree.
Obviously since I’m planning for a big move and it being the holidays right now, I’m on a bit of a budget and don’t want to break the bank on something I’ve never tried before. The sample pack is too pricey for me and I don’t think I’d ever even use tuth or ammo (at least not for a while!), so I’m most likely going to grab a few of those little to-go containers and see how they fare. How long do those (or the larger bottles) typically last? Are there any pheromones that are NOT a good mix with each other? Is there a maximum amount of different products one could use before the signals start getting too crazy? If you’re mixing, is it a good idea to keep the scents at a distance from each other or can you spray one right on top of the other?

I will answer all your questions to the best of my ability and I know if I don’t have an answer another member will come in and help you out. I would start by looking into HankBuddy journal as it is full of good info.

The whole thing about the Enviroment is to chose the right product for you and that environment and what you are trying to achieve. No body would wear TUTH to church because it would be equivalent to walking into Sunday service with you cock out. For clubs and dating Ammo and TUTH goes very well because the environment is more uninhibited.

Some do not like a lot of scents. For example I know HankBuddy’s partner does not like any of the scents but 1 out of all the scents he tried. Neroli is about the norm and settles very light so this should be ok. Now Ammo scent is very powerful and more in your face scent, so I would use caution with that 1 if scent is a problem.

Your current body wash shouldn’t be a problem. One of the main things with body wash is I wouldn’t use anti bacterial, because it may kill of pheromones and possibly your natural ones to. I use Jason’s unscented as it lathers well and doesn’t have all the junk chemicals in it like some other store bought stuff. It is worth looking into going to your local health food store and checking it out. But the main thing is to not use an anti bacterial soap.

IS is one of the best pheromones to help with stress ad put others at ease. From the instant line I think this would be the best one. Their are single molecules that can help with this, but starting out I would stick with the instant line.

As far as tips go, there are a lot of experience with A314 working very well in sales. Working in the job you do it may be different. If you wear A314 just be careful how much because it can be intimidating if you wear a lot. I would wear IS for sure, IO might go well here to and might help open people right up. IH might be good hear to.

For job interviews A314 is about the old standard everywhere. IG is the next one and is similar to A314, not quite the same. I would wear either A314 or IG as your base, IS, and then IH on your wrists this would be the ulitimate for a job interview IMO. I would wear this setup also for landlords. Especially the IH would come in handy because landlords are always worried about trusting a new tenant.

As far as guys liking you and you being able to notice I can’t think of a pheromone that will help with this right now. You will have to work on that. Especially if you start wearing mones that will attract guys. This is just something you will have to work on to be more aware.

The 5ML Togo bottles have roughly 40 sprays and the bigger 30ML bottles have about 200 sprays in them. Most products for me I can use 2 -3 sprays. Some like IH are stronger so I can get away with 1 spray. So like IS I can get good effects with 2 sprays I should get about 20 applications out of a Togo bottle.

I find almost the whole instant line goes well together. The main thing is to think about the environment and what type of vibe you would like to send out.

Now with mixing some do layer there mones. So they will spray say IS one there neck and let dry for 5 to 10 minutes and then spray another like IG over this. Some have good luck like this. I like to keep my app points separate.

The best thing to do is find your sweet spot. This is the best dosage for you and normally if you go to high on dosage with a lot of products you get negative effects. Most products should be around 2-4 sprays. With A314 and IH I think 2 to 3 should be about right. Now these are general guidelines and you will have to experiment to see what works.
OK now on to the products.
IS this one will go well with everything. Will boost confidence and put everyone in a good mood.
IG Will give you a leadership mature vibe.
Now I picked IG over the A314 spray because it works very well for gay men and dating, plus you can use it for work and job interviews so this will be very universal for you.
IO This is an ice breaker and opens people right up
IH Promotes bonding and deep conversations.
So I think the above 4 in the Togo bottles will be a good set for you. I think with the $25 GC this set would cost right around $55-60 shipped if you are in the states.

Since you said you were gay, there’s one more pheromone that hasn’t been mentioned so far: Mystery Boy or MB. I don’t know if it’s still around or not, or if it’s sold under a different name now, but it’s been advertised as helpful for gay men. It probably contains both women’s and men’s pheromones, which should work in your favor.
All this is just observations, since I’m straight, and know nothing about MB. But perhaps others will chime in after me.

With a name like that, you need Instant Shine! I’m gay, too. I’ve used a lot of AD’s products and have had very good results with them. You can read about my experience in my journal.
Justintime gave you some awesome advice. Heed them. He’s a well-detailed tester and has a good grasp on pheromones.
As for pheromones for gay men, anything used by straight men to attract straight women can also be used by gay men to attract other gay men. I’ve used A314 and Ammo with really good results. With Ammo, I get lots of attention and phone numbers from guys. With A314, I meet guys best suited for my personality. Never used Mystery Boy, so can’t tell you about it. I just know that the products for straight men work well for me.
I can appreciate you being on a budget. So if there were only two products for you to get, I’d say get Instant Shine and Instant Gentleman. Wear these two when you’re waiting tables. This combo of pheromones will give you an air of friendliness, smartness, and maturity. IG will also give you a sense of grounded confidence. I sometimes spray this on me when I have to go through rush hour traffic. It turns off the road rage. You will see yourself behaving more calmly when you’re in the weeds. I used to wait tables, so I know what you mean about losing control. IG will help you maintain control and sanity. Make sure to turn on the charm, and your tips will increase.
When you stash away enough of your tips, pick up a bottle each of Ammo and Instant Honesty. You can use this combo at the bars. IH will tell guys that you’re trustworthy and best friend material. Ammo will let them know that you can also be more than friends.

Justintime: Your answer to my initial question was informative and helped put everything in perspective as far as different pheromones in different situations, but that’s not exactly what I meant to ask. What I was trying to ask was if going from Florida which is consistently very hot and humid to somewhere with a completely different atmosphere where it is cold and dry would have any affect on the pheromones? Or does that not really change anything significantly?
The antibacterial soap never occurred to me! I’m a bit of a germophobe so I’m always washing my hands and applying hand sanitizer. I’m not entirely opposed to getting rid of the hand sanitizer, but I couldn’t survive without washing my hands regularly, especially while working with food. If I apply pheromones to my wrists and wash my hands within the hour, will the effect be dampered?
You said it might be a good idea to use one scent as my base and another on my wrist. Is the base supposed to go on the neck? How many different areas are there that you can apply pheromones to while maintaining maximum effectiveness? Why are these specific areas important? I’ve seen men and women apply colognes/perfumes to their wrists and neck before but since I’m sensitive to the stuff it never occurred to me to ask the significance behind the placement. It probably wouldn’t be a good idea to spray pheromones into the air and walk into them, yeah? 
TheAttractor: I saw Mystery Boy but didn’t understand why there would be a different one specifically for gays. Especially considering the large amount of gay dudes I’ve met with a fetish for “turning” straight guys, it seems counterintuitive to put something in the bottle other than the typical “man smell” lol. I’m not a scientist by any means so that could just be my ignorance talking. Although I will say the idea of mixing scents of different genders is interesting to me. Have there been any accounts of someone using scents intended for the opposite gender? Drag queens could probably utilize that if they wanted, but beyond gender illusion I would love even more to hear the types of reactions received if some burly dude was going around giving off the impression of a dainty lady, or vice versa. Oh, another question I forgot to ask: have there been any accounts of pheromones affecting animals? I have a dog and he is the sweetest thing ever. I remember reading that some dogs are known to react to some pheromones, especially putatives. I don’t believe effects are negative though. Maybe dog owners can tell you a bit more about that.
Razzle, thank you for your kind comments. You should read Justintime’s journal. He’s straight and married, but for the sake of science, he tested female pheromones on himself. The tests also included reactions from his gay friends. Very interesting! Check out his posts #119 and #135. Both tests were with Instant Sexiness for women.

To the best of my knowledge, most gays would prefer to live in harmony with the straight community, and are not interested in “turning” straight men. (In this day and age, when gay rights are at the forefront politically, it would be just bad PR.) Also, the “typical man smell” would be offputting to straight men, because they’re attracted to women. That said, if a man wore a women’s scent, the reaction it’d trigger would be more like “Hey, wait a minute, something ain’t right!”, rather than “Ooh, very sexy!” We humans, after all, do have intelligence that we use to read situations, and don’t go by pheromone-driven instincts exclusively.
I’m pretty sure “pheromone pranks” would go against the mission statement of Androtics and their spokespersons. Pheromones should be used to benefit yourself and make people around you happy, rather than to prank others.

Going from a very humid climate like Florida to somewhere cold is fine. It may actually help make the pheromones last. In a hot in humid climate like Florida they will diffuse great, but not last as long. Going to a cold climate they won’t diffuse as fast.
You can still use your hand sanitizer on your hands, just be weary about using the pheromones on your wrists as app points. You can still use anti bacterial soap but I find it does make things less effective for me. The anti bacterial seems to kill of my own natural pheromones. I like to wash with Tea Tree soap once in a while especially after using Ammo or TUTH to get it off my skin so it doesn’t build up and stink.
I meant using one of the pheros as your base like IG. I usually use a base for what I want to do. For example A314 for work is my base, then I like to use IS and sometimes IH with it. The main thing is to use the pheros on app points or pretty much pulse points like elbow, wrist, neck, and any where else that gets good body heat.
Some users have had luck with spraying in the air and walking through I have never tried it though so I don’t know how effective that is.
I do find with our dogs yes they do effect them and they can kind of tell you a little by there behavior. Like TUTH my dogs become very obedient and with some others like CTTM2 or IH they are very needed and wanting more attention than normal.

The younger crowd doesn’t always think of things in terms of being an ambassador for the entire community. Your examples of reactions had me laughing out loud! When I said “pranks” I meant a certain type of pheromones existing where it would be unexpected or unusual, not necessarily the use of pheromones to cause distress or unhappiness in others. Which brings me to…
HankBuddy and justintime: The type of experiment in that journal is EXACTLY what I was curious about! That was really interesting to read. I particularly love the reasoning behind it and the methodical approach with which it was taken (that can be said for a number of journals here!). Although I sometimes get lost in the chemistry of it all (“2 sprays” vs “1-7 mcg,” P7/P177/MSX, etc), the differences in human interactions are amazing to read about. I’m probably going to go with justintime’s original four suggestions, although I might switch out IO/IH (still not sure of the difference… One makes you someone’s close friend and one helps you seem approachable to strangers?) for ammo, just for the hell of it. I don’t really go out to bars or anything but reading some of the journal entries has got me curious about trying it out. I’m definitely getting IG and IS, no doubt about that!
Justintime I was reading one of your journal entries leading up to the ones HankBuddy suggested, and picturing a shih tzu and pug terrier being extra cuddly brought happy tears to my eyes, haha! I’m totally okay with my dog being obedient or wanting some extra attention, as long as he doesn’t become aggressive! I read a couple posts where certain scents triggered negative responses (mostly from males – why is that?), which is definitely something I want to avoid. But the products you guys suggested don’t seem to make people temperamental, which is good.
Final questions (for now): The store has these bottles for 1X, 2X, and 4X. The purpose of that is increase the potency to save on the number of sprays you have to do, yeah? Any other differences?
Is it ideal to test these out individually before I start combining, or am I pretty much good to go? I don’t want to get in over my head but I don’t want to be overly cautious and end up wasting my time/sprays. This isn’t really something I plan on doing, but what would happen if I applied 4 different pheromone products at the same time? For example, IS/IG/IO/IH. Would the messages get muddled or would they come together in a beautiful Instant Symphony?

Thank you about the comments on the journal. I am always glad when the research has helped someone out. I have learned from other journals that dogs can be a very good indicator of how pheromones work. I have to thank Miss Dragon for that one.
As far as scent the only one you really have to watch really is the Ammo scent as it is very powerful. So if you get Ammo start off with 1 spray and see what others think and how they react first. The rest of the items you are looking at are in Neroli and that is the standard and there isn’t much problems if any with that one.
The 1X, 2X and so on are made for some of us that are older because as we age our natural pheromone production drops. So we can use 2X and use less product and this way we don’t have to worry about wearing to much scent. That is the idea behind it. Being 25 I wouldn’t worry about this to much. The only way I would consider 2X is maybe with Ammo and this is due to the scent being very powerful. Now I am not trying to scare you away from Ammo due to the scent, as I love the scent and it is a nice top notch cologne just a little strong for some.
With IO yes you have it right it is an ice breaker and makes the approach much easier.
With IH it is good for bonding and deeper conversations.
