be careful not to use cover cologne that can kill the pheromones. remember pheromones are bacteria, if you use cologne that has alcohol (almost every cologne does) guess what you can kill the pheromones (bacteria). i always play it safe and not use cover cologne.
Who told you about this? Sorry but this is nonsense, as all of the AD products already come in an alcohol base. So this doesn’t really make sense, I’d love to hear a veteran’s point of view on this.

uh oh i have a stalker let it go man lol. not you mikoto. anyway i was told by steve. certain cologne can kill the pheromones. which is not non sense. it makes plenty of sense. unless youre telling me phermones are the most indestructable thing there is. everyone knows steve lol. i spoke to him on the phone the other day and i asked him just to be sure i dont ruin the effect of pheromones. you can ask him. you can call him now he should still be at work. if i misunderstood him then my apologies but thats what i was told
Well lets look at it this way. Ammo is supposed to be cologne strength. Cologne has alcohol in it. Theres no way that the base of AD products is all dipropylene glycol. Its an additive and theres no reason to make it the whole base as the perfumer’s alcohol is what carries the scent whether neroli, akuto or otherwise.

Does alcohol kill or inactivate pheromones?
Most pheromones are of the class of small molecules know as steroids.
Steroids tend not to dissolve well in water, but they do dissolve in non-polar fluids such as alcohol. Alcohol does not change the structure of the pheromones, inactivate them, or cause any other changes or problems with the pheromones.
In fact, alcohol performs two other useful functions:
- It keeps the pheromone solution sterile, which increases shelf-life.
- It kills bacteria on the skin where the pheromones are applied. Skin bacteria are capable of breaking down pheromones fairly quickly, which destroys their effectiveness.
The idea that alcohol has a negative effect on pheromones seems to simply be mis-information spread by vendors of oil-based pheromone products!
No, well I’m not trying to say you or Steve are wrong since obviously Steve knows way more about pheromones than I’ll ever know. It’s just confusing as I’ve been programed to think alcohol didn’t harm pheromones since first posting here. So Steve, if you have the time please help clarify.

oh no by all means i totally agree with you and i am also confused which is why i said ill play it safe and not use it. but it seems like that website you got that info makes sense. i just hope its credable because my cologne have strong diffusion. it would be awesome to use it. maybe steve can shed some light in this. he would normally would if we asks him to post something on a subject.
Fact is the way you said it sounded like ALL alcohol so ALL cologne. But yeah fact is anything with a fragrance used as cologne has always had alcohol in it… If steve really said what you said he said then I’m truly perplexed.
Ammo, Alter ego, Alpha Maschio, Chikara, NPA all have alcohol in them and seeing as how Ammo is the most regarded that should be proof enough about the whole alcohol thing.

the way i thought it worked was the bacteria on your skin is what breaks down your natural testosterone into pheromones. applying synthetic pheromones negates the need for this natural bacteria because it is not being broken down from testosterone. idk about perfumes harming it though. i would like to know that myself.
awwww boy there was alot of discussion while i was not here, as far as i know mones are chemical molecules, and there is two types of mones, alcohol type and oil type, alcohol type diffuse quicker than oil type, i think it is pretty dangorous to make people smell bacteria, and it can cause a lot of skin infections. but i dono, that is what i know about mones from my readings.

That’s not my style, but it just struck me for a shocker what you said Steve told you because I’ve been believing this since I first started posting here and have been giving out the advice to new users that it’s OK to apply cologne over their pheromones. So if I was in fact wrong, then clearly I’d be mad for giving new users the wrong advice all this time that I’ve been on here as that’s definitely not what I’d want to do (give new guys bad advice.)
ah no offense taken bro. you didnt insult me like some morons would but you showed a lot of pride in your work so i understand your passion. SOME colognes from what i was told may kill the pheromones. not all. im not saying spraying will not work because it absolutley will work with out harming the pheromone. i was simply sayingi do not want to risk it because i dont want to poteniall kill the pheromone with my favorite cologne and waste a night of experimenting.
