Hi ~
I’m a 46 YO woman who’s happily married. My spouse and I have two elementary school age boys and live in the Pacific Northwest. (Yes, it does rain all the time, and yes, you are able to find a coffee stand anywhere. I think that everyone’s self-medicating for Seasonal Affective Disorder, or cloud-induced depression.) I’m short, cute, overweight, funny and musical. I take anti-depressants, and I know that they can sometimes reduce sex drive, but being depressed is even worse for my sex life.
I play multiple musical instruments, and my spouse and I play in a semi-professional folk band together. He’s tall, handsome, older than I am, and is a retired software engineer.
I spent ten years as a stay-at-home-mom, and now I’m going back to school to be certified as a teacher. (I’m putting off writing a big paper right now…) This change in roles is very stressful. I’ve never held a management position at work, even before the kids, and I have problems feeling assertive and being taking seriously. (Once again, I’m short, cute, overweight and funny. Not the kind of person who is taken seriously. It doesn’t help that I have a chipmunk voice.) My DH takes me seriously, as do my close friends. It’s just the folks who don’t know me so well who think that I’m not particularly worth listening to.
My spouse and I get along beautifully. We’re both pretty laid back emotionally, and we have very similar tastes and preferences. Our relationship would be absolutely perfect if I had more sex drive. I’ve never been really focused on sex, but now that I’m busy, stressed out and (probably) pre-menopausal, I’m just hardly ever in the mood. I also do not feel even a little bit sexy or attractive most of the time, although I know that DH (Dear Husband) thinks I’m very attractive. I don’t have lots of hangups about sex - I’m just not in the mood very often or very easily. This isn’t new - it’s been a problem for many years.
I bought a bottle of pheromone perfume about 15 years ago. No clue what was in it, but wearing it made me feel kind of attractive and more confident. My spouse had a bottle of similar stuff for men, and when he wore it I did seem to feel more romantic.
I’m looking for a few different things in pheromone perfume. My highest priority is that I want to be In The Mood more frequently. Right now we have our intimate moments only once or maybe twice a week, and it takes me forever to get into the activities. We use mellow music, low lighting, warm showers, massage with lavender oil, lots and lots of foreplay, but it still can take me up to two hours before I really feel that I can let go and enjoy sex.
I would like pheromones to:
- make me feel like scheduling romantic encounters more frequently
- get me in the mood more quickly
- make me feel a bit sexier
- help me feel more confident and attractive when we go out dancing (Celtic social dances. This involves a LOT of aerobic exercise, sweating, and dancing with many partners.)
But I would also like pheromones to:
- give me more self-confidence and poise in public
- help me be perceived as an authority (I really am pretty smart, and know my field)
- help me step into a leadership role at work
Gads. Whatever this intro may be, it’s not too short… Thanks to you hearty folks who read this all the way through!
Cheers,
Akela
