I’m a new girl, of course (haven’t made my way to the introductory thread yet, but I’ll be there soon. who can pass up fifteen bucks?) but I’ve been trolling these forums for a good week or two, and I have to say pheromones have definitely caught my interest. I’ve decided on purchasing some, but let me spell out the scenario first!
There’s a friend of mine whose personality I happen to love - we’ve known each other for about two years now. The thing is, he’s incredibly shy, and while it’s adorable, I’ve tried every trick in the book to help him open up to me, and it’s only succeeded twice. He’s also very non-touchy, and has said many times that he hates being touched, but never turns down a hug from me. He’s such a sweetie, and I figure he’s perfect to test on, not only to clear me of my own skepticism but to achieve the affects desired (which are to get him to open up to me and feel more comfortable with me. and… okay, I admit it, maybe I’m hoping for a little more. :o)
So here’s what I was wondering: I’ve been reading through the forums but I haven’t found much on Instant Openness. I saw somewhere that Instant Honesty also affects the user, too. And so I appeal to you, o mighty pheromone users who are more experienced than I, what do you recommend to get this cutie to come out of his shell?
And… ahem… possibly make his move? (I know he wants to!!)

I just wanted to say good luck with your endeavors with your friend. That’s what lead me to using pheromones, too. I haven’t tried Instant Openness myself, but I have used Instant Honesty. It tends to encourage bonding-type communication, whereas Instant Openness is said to make more communication happen – kind of a quality versus quantity type of thing, with Instant Honesty being the “quality” and Instant Openness giving the “quantity.”
You might want to look into the Instant Sexiness products if you want to get closer to your friend. Since he’s not a touchy-feely type of guy, I can’t say how he will react to Instant Sexiness. I’ve used it around a friend of mine who is a toucher, and it tends to make him more affectionate.
Mm - you know, I was thinking about Instant Sexiness. I, too, am wondering how it will affect him… though I don’t know that he’ll be too eager to get any closer to me if I’m “a less insane Angelina Jolie”, as I’ve seen others put it. I suppose I ought to check out the store again for more options…
I’d agree with pherobeliever’s assessment of Instant Openness and Instant Honesty. IO tends to be light, fun, breezy, social.
IH (for me anyway) feels a little bit darker, more serious, makes you feel like just spilling it, whatever it is. It makes it harder to keep things light. For me it’s not as pleasant as IO for general day-to-day use, so I would use it in targeted situations only. Times when you really want to get to the bottom of something, and if it gets messy and people starting yelling or crying, you’re ready to deal with it.
Sound fun? Oh yeah!
My recommendation to you would be lots of Instant Shine, and since you have sexual designs on him, small amounts of Essence of Woman (a product that’s not sold by Androtics - you can find it at the Love-Scent store).
There’s an Instant Sexines Mix B (I think you have to request this mix in the comments section of the order form) that you might want to consider. I’ve read that it’s a “softer” mix. Maybe that would be more appealing to your friend.
I’ve got Mix A (the default mix when you order Instant Sexiness), but since I tend to be a quiet, reserved person, the edgier mix gives me the oomph to break out of the reserve. Two different guys (one of them my TargetGuy) have called me “feisty” when I was wearing that mix. TargetGuy seems to find feisty appealing, so Mix A is the one for me!

Question though! Since Essence of a Woman will require a cover scent, I’m wondering exactly how strong it is. Hopefully not enough to cause a problem, eh? I only own one bottle of perfume - Sexy For Her (from Victoria’s Secret. Curse you, overpriced boutique!). Are there any other cover scents you would recommend?
Essence of Woman is very strong. Many women here apply a drop straight to the skin and let it dry down 10 minutes or so (it smells pretty bad prior to that), then cover with perfume.
I do the same (let it dry down, then cover) but I usually work with a 10% dilution in alcohol instead of straight.
Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood is a great cover for EW because it’s already beautifully composed around a sort of ‘cootchie note’ so EW fits right in.
If you let EW dry down first, it should not be hard to cover with any somewhat potent perfume. Pink Sugar is another favorite on the forums - super potent!
Paisley, I wanted to let you know that you should definitely use the instant openness a few times without interacting with your targetguy. When I first used this, certainly it made people aroundme talk a lot, but I also found myself saying things that I had no intention of saying .
Also, I love the Instant Sexiness A. I, too tend to be shy around guys and this has really given me an edge..believe me I am NO Angelina Jolie. Your targetguy sounds a lot like my targetguy. I tried to use Lust After Me, and I only got a kiss on the cheek. Dolly suggested Essence of Woman. This phermone comes highly recommended because of hte copulin content. Dolly gave me a suggested mix. Check it out either on “Target In Position” or “This Stuff Really Works” It is a combo of Essence of Women, Instant Honesty and something else. I haveto search myself! Yes, if your “victim” (as I like to put it) is shy and likes softer women, go with Instant Sexiness mix B…also, I would go for the Instant Honesty versus Instant Openness…gets to the heart of the matter very quickly.
Okay, I don’t know pheremones, but I know good perfume. First tip: I strongly recommend picking one high-quality perfume and making it your signature scent. Next, select a perfume. Not a cologne, but an actual perfume. Colognes have a lot of alcohol; perfumes have oil and staying power. Lastly, pick a scent that absolutely sends YOU to the moon. You should think it is the most luscious, sensuous thing you’ve ever smelled and get happy every time you get a chance to wear it.
With all that said, the perfume I think fits all those things is Yves Saint Laurent’s ‘Opium’.
Essence of Woman smells very strong in the bottle. However, about 5-10 min after application, it fades to a light, faintly fruity-type of smell on the skin. I have used it covered with only the lightly scented neroli products from the Instant Line, that you are speaking of ordering…tip…apply EW and let it dry down before applying the other products. Other scents that I have found to work well with EW are vanilla, musk, and amber.
