Instant self confidence

Have you ever wanted to really boost your self confidence? You can do it using something you already have… Your mind. start out by thinking back to a time where yousere really confident. You can also think of what you want to achieve.

Next, enhance the memory or vision involving all the senses While closing your eyes. Now make a thumbs up sign and say the word “power” repeat this again. Do it a 3rd time if you want. Now open your eyes and just do it. Eventually your mind will be conditioned to feel the desired feeling upon the impulse of the thumb and “power” you now should have “instant self confidence.”

The mind is funny isn’t it ? Most everything we feel, do, believe is a product of thought and what we decide that thought means about us. My father used to say to me when I was little and feeling sorry for myself or lacking in confidence “That voice inside your head is not from the gods it just likes to pretend it is” Its just a thought and if you dont like that thought think another one and keep thinking it till that little voice who thinks its god thinks that new thought as well.

I know some people will say your exercise wont work or its silly. I think its a good one though. That voice has to change before you can project what its saying outward.

Confidence Happiness Love we are all born with these things inbred into us. We are born in well being. Then a big guy with a mask slaps you on the butt and all these bright lights are flashing in your face and there are two grinning weird people looking at you crying and laughing at the same time… the learning process begins LOL. Fear, lack of confidence, unhappiness are all learned. You dont learn them all in that moment but through life experiences. The thing the guy with the mask and the two grinning idiots failed to tell you when entering this plain physically is that you get to choose what you learn. You get to choose what you think. You get to choose what you believe. You get to choose your reality.

Nice posts, reminds me of Paul Mckenna’s work. He had a book which contained a self hypnosis CD called Instant confidence i think. I listened to it religiously every day and it just amazed me how our thoughts and feelings can be completely in our control and don’t have to be a result of external incidents etc.

Something I like to do which is HUGE in my opinion is to make eye contact. I know it might not seem like much, but believe me you it is so so important. Most guys are attempting to gain confidence and yet it takes success to gain that confidence so the paradox of not having the confidence to be successful takes a firm root.

While you can certainly use NLP, subliminal, Hypnosis and what not to get an advantage for me, my best advantage came when I was able to make and keep eye contact. As time progresses you will notice a HUGE increase in your personal confidence. One thing I do is wherever I go I make and keep it until they look away. But so as not to be threatening or weird I smile.

It works.

When you are saying you make eye contact, do you mean with yourself in a mirror? I’ve noticed that it seems to be rather effective because of the visual memory that you have and the illusion that someone is telling you to be confident.

Or do you mean to make eye contact with the person you are trying to send chemical messages with?

I make eye contact with EVERYONE. If I am walking and see someone I make eye contact. At the grocers, at the gym, wherever I am I make eye contact.

The law of attraction is made real because the power of your mind. In effect you program your subconscious so you act in ways (on a conscious AND subconscious level) that dramatically enhance your ability to achieve your goals. Having a positive mindset is a powerful tool!

This is a very good point… practice makes perfect. I do the same Steve. When I’m walking around I make sure to maintain eye contact with people I come across and not break it until they do.

I’m not trying to win a staring contest, but keeping my mind sharp for when the time comes and I really want to keep eye contact with someone who might be a bit more intimidating.

I do this with women and men, but as you said, I’m sure to smile so as not to look like a serial killer or stalker.

I’ve heard this technique before. When you smile, and they smile back. You know that this person is somewhat attracted to you. There is even more attraction if the person even says, “hi.”
