SAN DIEGO - American Airlines flight 590 from San Diego finally made it to Chicago late yesterday, after being delayed in an incident involving passengers heard speaking Arabic.
It turns out six Iraqi men on board work for a defense contractor and were reportedly taking the overnight flight home after a job at Camp Pendleton training Marines headed for Iraq.
Their boss says some of the other passengers complained after hearing them speak Arabic. Everybody was ordered off the plane. According to the airline, law officers questioned the men and then quickly let them go. But by that time it was too late for the plane to take off until Wednesday morning."
I agree that it was a waste of time. The air marshal should have just started shooting and they could have stored the bodies in the cargo hold to save time.
Astrocloud the person speaking Italian could have just have easily been in the fashion industry so stop being so closed minded. SHEESH!
I was in a diversity training my company requires we participate in annually. We were discussing instances of racism, sexism, and homophobia. The majority of the group was fairly open-minded. That is until I brought up the instances of discrimination against Islamic and Arabic people. The entire group agreed the negative opinions against them was justified. The manager leading the discussion then shut down that topic and moved on the next.
It’s unbelievable how much people can be manipulated by the constant spreading of fear - and not only the american government does that. Even the german government, especially the secretary for the interior, is constantly talking about the oh so terrible attacks that are awaiting us - only to justify a bunch of laws that takes away an enormous amount of freedom from the people.
