Can I use Isopropyl alcohol for diluting mones?
Firstly - no.
Secondly, why are you diluting them? We do that for you - just order the appropriate concentration.
There’s a reason AD uses Specially denatured alcohol for their uses. I believe it also has to do with the concentration of the chemicals in the alcohol and the solvent nature of the mones and how it interacts with making sure that it is properly mixed with the raw form crystallized form that AD gets the mones from.
Isopropyl from what I understand has a slightly different chemical makeup and again I’m guessing that it doesn’t mix well with the crystallized mones AD receives in bulk.
Because I bought single molecules from another website, and want to dilute them.
Sorry, the other site just has much better prices.
Now factor in the cost of equipment, making errors (unless you have scientific grade measuring tools), the perfumers alcohol you’re going to need, the fragrance concentrate, and bottles.
Also you can’t buy the molecules we have from somebody else such as the putatives. Be very careful buying these things online - you have no idea what you’ll be getting from China. Not saying not to do it - just be very safe and do real research. Its not like mixing chocolate milk.

The mones are diluted in ethanol.
What kinds of alcohol can I add the mones to, to thin out the concentration ?
I think it was mentioned twice already - Perfumers alcohol/ethanol. We sell it with fragrance already in it. But I can’t give you much more advice than that because we don’t advise using anything you randomly get online.
We’ve tested a lot of molecules from sources and you’d be surprised whats being sold out there from who knows where.
Stay safe and seriously - don’t use isopropyl.
- EDIT: Thinking about it - you should be able to get perfumers alcohol anywhere. But keep in mind you should still have a fragrance of some kind - which can be pricy since you have to buy the good stuff in bulk. If you do the math, buying from us is cheaper in the long run.

A putative is also something random because you dont tell anyone what it is. P70whatever could be the same as P83.
What is the use in buying it?
And if other items already work, than what is the point in using that something, a putative, which could be useless?
I’m buying my mones from a professional chemist.
And I only see it mentioned once, apart from my post about what it was already diluted in.

We have our pheromones made by a professional chemist, too. However we’ve also had chemists try to sell us mones that we found out later came from unscrupulous places.
I didn’t tell you NOT to do it - I told you what you need and then told you what we found.
If you don’t want advice don’t ask on an advice forum. I apologize if I offended you by being worried for your safety but how many chemists do you think make pheromones? Now how many of those chemists do you think we’ve done business with or tested their product?
I’m telling you that you need to do research - if you thought you could use isopropyl alcohol to dilute that shows me that you didn’t do one moment of research before going and buying what you did.
Its not so easy as they make it sound or we make it look. You do realize that you are inhaling whatever you purchased and in large concentrations, have you thought of wearing a mask when you open a high concentration of product? If it has foreign chemicals in it because its a ‘dirty’ synthesis - you could be risking your lungs and your other important internal organs.
We did years of research to make sure our products are safe - to the point of being obsessive compulsive.
All I’m doing is making sure another person who is into this stuff didn’t waste their time and money.
Here is what you need - buy it anywhere, I don’t really mind:
- Perfumers alcohol
- Breathing mask with filters graded for fumes (if you are indeed using a high concentration) and good ventilation
- Pipettes
- Fragrance oil or DPG
- Good lab-grade gloves
- Bottles/atomizers
Most of that is common sense, things you should’ve known before ordering what you did. Isopropyl alcohol would’ve pretty much ruined everything, so you’re welcome for the warning.
Btw, I did give you a simple ‘no’, then offered more information to help you.

Well I am the sales man from the company and here’s an answer that you probably won’t like, but oh well. If its such a great deal you should be calling them up, or posting on their forum. You know with all their great prices I am sure they have great service too. Pippettes are useless. I use slin pins because they are extremely accurate.

Also, for somebody who works in a “lab” I’m surprised you don’t know the difference between the uses of pure ethanol and isopropyl.

Sound unfair? I think so, too. I answered your question with a simple No at first, but then you wanted more. So I gave you more. Again, you’re utilizing OUR resources because the place you went to didn’t give you the support you need. I hope you understand that.
