Your links work, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to navigate to those A314 versions from the main page. Makes me wonder if it’s legacy code left on the site.

As Jasper mentioned, the pages may be left over from previous products or tests. It can’t hurt to try if you need some A314!

Would it really hurt to try? What’s the worst that can happen: you get an email saying it’s not available and a credit.

BTW the site seems to be unavailable now… at least for me. I was visiting to buy an item I’d noticed that was still left in the store but with decreasing (and already low) stock. I don’t think I’ve ever struggled so much to pay someone money before.

The perl script is attached (as a zip file). Just run it from the command line (as long as you’ve got a perl interpreter installed). It’ll write the results out to standard output and a text file. Then simply import the text file into excel (asterisk “*” delimited) and clean up a little.
It’s not too complicated (I haven’t programmed for 15 years ). It should run fine on a mac as OS X has perl installed by default. You’ll need to CHMOD the file so that it’s executable on your system.
If all of this sounds complex, it’s probably not worth your while to try and get the script to work. Better instead to wait, ask, prod, nudge, question, investigate and cajole Androtics into being more transparent about what’s going on, and if they need any help I’m sure there are enough smart people in this forum that can help.

My guess is that ordering it would create that a backlog of refunds and emails that need to go out creating more work for Androtics. Which isn’t exactly helpful at a time when it’s clear there’s difficulty afoot.*

I doubt we can get or does androtics want to sell those special A314’s yet…Also, your scraping script could be boarding on unauthorized access, though I wouldn’t go so far to say it’s illegal.

It’s an open web page, accessible to all, marketing/selling a product, on a public server. It’d be very easy to prohibit unauthorised access if necessary. If it helps understand what the script is doing, here’s an analogy: it’d be the same as mistyping the URL to access a particular product. Imagine typing out by hand the following URL:```

The URLs are very similar. In this case mistakenly adding an extra 9 when typing the URL would simply bring you to another product page. All the script does is do what a human can do: type in a URL and then go to the next product, except it's quicker and doesn't get bored. I've guessed at and mistyped URLs before, and I imagine everyone has *at least* once including you. It's not "un-authorized access", it's access.
I'd quite like to be considered some *black-belt OMFG züber-hacker* with some *l33t skillz* but sadly, looking at products on a site by going to the next product code via a public URL isn't going to cut it among the real hackers out there. This isn't some sort of unauthorized sneaking in a closed back door of a shuttered shop, it's walking in the open **front** **door** of the shop and looking at the products on the shelves.
