my atomizer roller top bottles finally came in. just mixed mx103 with A*men cologne and the original old sour milk smell from mx103 is completely gone.
the smell however is not A*men but rather smells like rubbing alcohol but in a light form. it’s a very light smell, but if you put your nose in the atomizer you can smell rubbing alcohol.
i tried 3:1 then 4:1 then 5:1, but they all smelled the same. so in the atomizer i did 10:2 mx103:cologne. i’ll be trying this the day after tomorrow, but that’s before 3 nights. Tater recommends 3 nights of composing, but would there be negative results if used too soon?
not sure how roll on tops work, but it seems very little to a spray. how many roll ons do you guys use? gegogi? tater? anyone?
i’ve never smelled either one, but out of all of my colognes i tried, the oen that worked best was A*men because it had the strongest and least feminine smell.
i tried himalaya creed, aqua de bulgari, marc jacobs, ungaro, and burberry weekend. all of them had too light of a smell and some were fruity and girly. it didn’t blend too well with the 103, but A*men had a pretty masculine smell which blended well.
with the other colognes, only 1:1 ratios worked some 1:2 1:3, nothing beyond that. however with A*men i went up to 5-6:1 without the smell being much of a problem. it just gets lighter and lighter.
The problem with Androtics dosed creations is they aren’t designed to be diluted. To preserve the essence of the cologne you normally need a 5:1 or 4:1 mix ratio. In such cases the pheromone component will be too weak and require many sprays, rolls or dabs to work right.
I oft mix pheromones with cologne at 5:1, but use highly concentrated pheromones designed for mixing/dilution, e.g., chemset androstenol, A-1, NPA, etc. If you could buy 4x or 5x mx103 it would be ideal for homebrew mixing with cologne. At 1x you’re probably best off simply spraying straight cologne over the mx103 application spots.
You might considered experimenting with EOs. They’re much more concentrated than cologne and thus maintain their scent with tiny amounts.
I don’t think I can answer that question as it depends on the roller bottle and the particular atomizer. However, I did some rough in the ball park tests with A314 drops and an old Scent of Eros roller bottle. Looked like one nice fat drop of A314 was equal to about 3 or 4 inches of roller bottle stroke. I’m sure you can work some spray, stroke 'm smear tests 'n come up with rough equivalencies.
I now dispense A314 from an old Scent of Eros roller bottle. It’s so much easier and faster to get it on in the morning. Trying to “force” 2 or 3 drops outta the A314 bottle in the 5 seconds before I needed to bolt for the door was an exercise in frustration. Now it’s almost too easy to be true. Must be something wrong…
Incidentally, products in oil based carriers work best with roller bottles. Alcohol carriers are too runny and tend to out when the bottle gets inverted in your pocket or suitcase.
Best way is to find really concentrated cologne oils to mix in the pheromone product. Women’s forum has some great suggestions about where you can find dupes of designer fragrances which smell better than the original and are much more concentrated.
I have tried the-common-scents website and there are few scents there which are eerily close to the original, very concentrated and cheap. Most of them also mix well with Androtics alcohol base.
So I’ve tried mixing MX103 with an equal amount of Armani Black Code cologne - and the smell is still there. I’ve been wearing the stuff again yesterday and been asked what the foul smell was - and noticed people holding some more distance. I only used 2 sprays. It seems this stuff is not usable for me and will probably go down the sink… Jas said the stink could come from an old batch of organic alcohol, so I will order a to-go bottle of this (or preferably MX105 if it ever reappears) and hope, that this problem has been solved…
Hi Bob, I’ve got a bottle of MX103. And it too has a distinct smell of sour milk. However, after 10-15 minutes dry down the smell fades away and the cover scent gets rid of any hint of the MX103. I use Le Male as a cover.
I might have a different batch or it might be the fact I smoke meaning I walk around stinking really badly without knowing about! That said no one has made a comment about it so far.
I hope you manage to find a way to get this to work not just because of the money but also it’s one of the most potent mixes out there (in my opinion anyway). I personally think of this stuff as liquid gold. Good luck
Yeah, I’ve had high hopes for that one, but I notice the stink even several hours after application, so there’s no way that I will spray myself with that stuff again. Maybe I’ve got better luck with a later batch - I can’t imagine that the smell actually comes from the mones, because I’m mostly pretty smell-deaf regarding mone-smell. I only smell a little sweaty something from Androstadienone - that’s it. All others are pretty smell-neutral to me (even -none)…

I have colognes in their “essential oil” form
ie: A*men and was wondering would mixing this with MX103 mess up it up? .. hmm .. HMMMMMMM -brain churns-
time to experiment.. the only bad thing is the bottle is cobalt and we don’t really get to see how well mx103 mixes with the oil-colognes
and if you xfer it to a transparent glass.. then you lose out on the dosed sprays of the Androtics bottles
but whatev, i’m gonna play mr. chemist and play around with this.. i’ll sacrifice one of my oil-colognes as it will surely overpower the stink of mx103 since it’s so highly concentrated
Don’t mix it without trying with a smaller amount first. Do you have a to-go 5 ml bottle? Add some MX103 and some oil and see if they mix…many oil bases don’t mix so well in alcohol.
