Kittenland!!!

For the girls. (NSFW!)
Naked Rugby. Talk about manly.

LOL! Nice hats!

lol, it’s great that you like your hair much better now  Looking like a french girl huh? Sounds good to me!

Excellent hit, as usual (you’ve got most of the best hits!) but don’t worry you’re not the only one. If any girl got a hit in the night, the first thing, she’d think is to sprint lol I would!

Anyways! Nice to see that you’re doing great!

Im thinking of that movie…ah ‘Human Nature’ when the lab assistant pretends to be a French girl…"a little french girl’ he he he

French, huh? I would think it’s the way the bangs frame your cheek bones, especially if you have high cheek bones and an oval face. I’d been told, after trimming my bangs (though I had long hair at the time) that it made me look Frenchie too. Short hair really is very stylish if you know how to rock it… and lord knows you know how to rock what you got, Kitten

I’m watching my hair grow. Once it at least reaches my collar bone, I’ll be able to rock it too! :stuck_out_tongue: Up until I was about twelve years old, I had very long, very straight hair. It was so well-behaved. So what did I do? I chopped it all off! And you know what it did? It fluffed right up! Whaa! And it even stayed fluffy when I grew it out again! Count your blessings :stuck_out_tongue:

(It’s curly now though, so I’m pretty eager to see it long!)

Msselva, those were some excellent glamor tips you offered  Very thoughtful of you! And Biotin, huh? I wondered why my mother said that eggs and nuts helped hair grow… Now, to quote you… I learned something new today

LOL! Like Ace Ventura? Clark Kent? Jimmy Neutron? :stuck_out_tongue:

That sounds like overkill (?). You sound very self-conscious about your appearance. I don’t know your age, but I’m guessing less than 25. Perhaps you live in California, too, or a large metro area like New York, Chicago, etc.

BTW, alot of women in my family have had short hair (both my grandmothers, my grandfather’s second wife, and my aunts and my mom- only my one aunt has long hair). It’s not unfeminine, you just have to have some confidence in yourself. And I wouldn’t say it looks French, either

Sounds sweet, Kitten! I’m sure the cut looks great on you, by the way.

Yeah. Nice hats.

lol, kitten ya know what! you made me curious today, and I went through my album to see the worst cut I’ve eva had! I didn’t have any pics from when I was 12 (since I probably didn’t let anyone take pics lol) but! this pic was when I was 14! took it out, scanned it, and now I’m showin’ it to you! Yes, is/a is definately making me feel brave at the moment! lol :stuck_out_tongue:

lol, look my the mess ma mom made!!! :open_mouth:  :frowning: I looked like a choir boy lol!

If you wanna feel good, look at this mess, and laugh all you want! I allow you to do so!

The hats were the first thing I noticed. What does “bottom bus” mean? The only rugby term I know is “scrum.”

That hurts a little bit to read, but you are probably right. Up until I was about 12-13 I got teased about looking like a nerd because I didn’t know how to dress right. I was a really sweet kid and just couldn’t figure out what to do. And then when I hit 12-13 I suddenly had a killer figure and extremely prominent breasts and I got teased and harassed for that. The teasing didn’t let up until I changed my look to goth at 14 and scared everyone silly. I like to think I’m over all that now. But I’m probably still more aware of image than most people because I’ve learned to enjoy its power to affect others’ behavior.

Wow, that really is a bad cut :open_mouth: She missed your hair completely and took off your whole face!

Aw, Msselva, it isn’t that bad  I gave myself a sort of mullet once. How is that for a fashion faux pas? I had been cutting my own hair, and didn’t quite realize the back had grown so much… I’ve destroyed all photographic evidence of course, but since we’re sharing, I’ll sketch it out, even though I won’t be able to do the atrocity justice  The red shows the way I had been trimming it. I was only 15 at the time. Can I use youth as an excuse?

So there you go, Kitten. You also don’t have a mullet-type!

P.S. I’d be happy to remove my doodle if you prefer. I don’t wanna clutter your journal!

Brave girl, Msselva! However, I think you made that cut look cute! Pretty necklace, white dress… You look gorgeously retro. And I wish my hair curled in little ringlets like that.

Ouch. You sprout a hot bod and get teased, and no doubt those same people grew to envy and chase you in later years… I hated middle school. Worst time I’ve ever had

Well, if you can’t kill 'em with kindness, there’s nothing wrong with making them piss their pants

And we have an artist too! Nice profile drawing, Tealeaves!! Yeah mullets, not good. But cutting the back of your hair is practically impossible. If you use two mirrors, everything is kind of backwards and the scissors go in the opposite direction from where you think they will go.

My mom has a kindergarten class picture of me where I have bangs that are about 3/4 inch or so long. I was so excited about my picture and my sweet new dress that I decided to cut my hair with my paper scissors. Didn’t use a mirror. I ended up with hair in different lengths on each side and bangs trimmed at a wobbly slant that varied from about 1/2 inch to 2. I’m told I was really proud of my work. Mom took me to the salon right before the pic and they did their best to make everything the same length.

Don’t we all carry a bit of our inner 12 year old with us even after we’ve finally realized we’re gorgeous?

At least you out grew your awkward stage quickly, my awkwardness lasted until my late teens and I am still slightly self conscious at times. At 12 I was a too thin gangly thing. My knees were bigger than my thighs. My family nicknamed me skeeter. As in I looked like a mosquito all eyes and legs. :o

I’ve also had my share of bad hair decisions as a teen. Didn’t help my sister was planning to be a stylist. That didn’t work out, and neither did any of her hair cuts. I’m still afraid of hair cuts and keep my hair long and one length that usually ends up in a ponytail or big messy knot on top of my head by the end of the day.

For this one, I so want a picture! Or at least a detailed description.

Thank you Kitten

Actually, I’ve gotten pretty good at it  I’ve been doing it myself since 14, with the occasional urge to get it ‘professionally’ done (which always ends in heartbreak). I just cut blindly, feeling with my hands and checking the mirror every few minutes. Sometimes it comes out unevenly, but at least I haven’t had a mullet since

I’ve stabbed myself in the head trying to navigate with just one mirror. Lol.

LOL! Too cute  No one can tell a kid that their work isn’t totally awesome

Yep we do. And I think that is a good thing. There’s a lot more joy there than pain. (Wow. Look at me get all philosophical! About haircuts! :open_mouth: )

Sorry, I know you probably hated it, but that is a truly adorable nickname. And all eyes and legs with knees bigger than thighs? I do believe that describes all the top models of today. But back then at that age, none of knew any better did we?

Well, I’ve had my share of…I’ll say interesting hair cuts. My family was in the hairdressing business. My mom, both of her sisters, my uncle and two of my cousins owned their own salons.

When I was little my mom always gave me a pixie cut. I didn’t know any better not to like it…then. It grew out and I was wearing it to about my shoulders. I remember, one time, when I went to “the shop” as we called it…after school…I was in second grade…Mom wanted to wash my hair…when she took me to the sink before she began to shampoo…hope this dun gross ya out…she discovered :open_mouth: head lice. Told ya it was gross :stuck_out_tongue: …but not uncommon, then, anyways. She, of course, immediately freaked out! Said we’d have to cut it off…couldn’t deal with it…too difficult to try to remove ‘em from longer hair. I cried/screamed bloody murder and put up a fight ‘cause I didn’t want her to cut it off. Mama was quick with her hands…grabbed my hair in a hunk and chopped it off in one motion! It was a scene. I cried and screamed for an hour. :stuck_out_tongue: Y’all are probably too young to remember when Vidal Sassoon first introduced his very mod styles, I had one of thoses too…lol. Heavy bangs, shorter in the back and angled down to the chin. Actually it’s very similar to what’s in style now, with or without the bangs. When I was about 15/16 I let it grow long, very long…only cut it a few years ago. Never did the Farah Fawcett thing, though, as I don’t like layers. It’s funny because I had every opportunity to do…only God knows what to my hair…and what did I do? Nothing. Jus’ not my thing. Make-up? Now were talkin’…that’s my thing. I’ve never even colored my hair…still don’t. No need. People would/do ask me, “What do you do to your hair?” It ain’t what I do to it…it’s what I don’t do to it. I still don’t do anything to it…lol. I hate being a slave to anything. Though I do have a bane, or two, in/of my existence…fer sure.

Anyways jus’ thought I’d share a little of my hairstory, as well.
