Exactly! ![]()
If it can’t be done naked, it’s not worth doing.
That’s it! That’s my new motto. ![]()
Can’t wear clothes while naked.
So no more ironing! Whee! Just swimming and sex and preening for the window washers! Think I could manage that just perfectly.
I wouldn’t want to iron naked. I think I’d end up burning myself somewhere the sun doesn’t shine. Already I learned my lesson never to cook barefoot. ![]()
Exactly! Good news is it looks like I’m not going to have a scar. ![]()
The name of that pic is nakedcat.gif. I could make a really bad joke about it, but I won’t. Cause I’m all classy and stuff. ![]()
Is the cat laughing or yawning? Either way, guess I gotta work out harder! I’ve become accustomed to, “By the love of God and All things Holy, am I Blessed to behold such a magnificent work of Art!” Or, alternatively, “Daaaamm.”

Tha Second Coming of Kitten’s MX135
Hoo ray! My MX135 is on its way! I ordered it last month and they tried to deliver it, and I didn’t know and I never got it. DHL sent it back to Androtics. Total tragedy, eh? (go to the pink asterisk *** **below if you want to avoid my verbosity and to cut to the cheese, I mean, chase
)
See I picked FedEx Ground for shipping cause I wasn’t in a big hurry. I thought it would come via FedEx. The tracking number didn’t work–the results kept coming back as “this number does not exist” or some such thing. This was because it was a DHL tracking number, of which I was wholly ignorant. I kept trying to track it at FedEx anyway.
So I thought, well it is a custom order and they do have to mix it special so they must not have sent it yet. Patience patience. I made myself chill out. But finally, after a couple weeks had gone by, I got a little nervous again and sent a request for an ETA.
Well to my shock, I found out FedEx was never involved and DHL had already tried and failed to deliver it! DHL does not leave a “we tried to deliver your crap and you weren’t there,” sticky on your door, so I never even suspected. DHL returned my lovely MX135 to the welcoming bosom of Androtics.
Mickaelia (she’s so sweet) agreed to send it again.
And ever since I found out about all this, I’ve been like a kitten on a hot tin roof wondering, has it shipped? How will I know? The order number is the same. The funky DHL tracking info stayed the same. Yeeps! I don’t want to screw it up again!
I’m afraid I got a little high maintenance and sent two panicky emails requesting a tracking number to dear, patient Mickaelia.
And after all that drahmah, it is coming!
The second coming of my MX135. (Sorry, that was blasphemous.) Might even be here tomorrow.
*** **The lesson from all this, dear fellow pheroheads, is: DHL is the only shipper Androtics uses (in the US). If you designate a different shipper, you will still get your stuff via DHL. The tracking number you see on your order confirmation, even if it says FedEx, is a DHL tracking number. You need to go to the DHL site to track it.
Maybe none of this is news to you, smartypantses, but it sure was to me. ![]()
Only the best,
XXOO Kitten ![]()
Well Kitten, consider yourself lucky. My DHL driver doesn’t even try to deliver the damn packages. I work from home and I’m here all day, so I sit around anxiously awaiting my precious packages from Androtics, but they never show up. Eventually I go back to the DHL site and see this notation from the driver: “Delivery Attempted, Resident Not Home.”
I then have to call DHL and get a run-a-round before they finally agree to bring out my package. This has happened 3 times in a row now!
What is wrong with both of your dhl drivers? Mine places it inside the storm door if I don’t answer.
Maybe it’s the 80lb. dog standing at the door to look out at him. ![]()
I did have one issue that tracking said delivered and I didn’t get it. I called the local dhl office and the person on the other end sent him back. He had to retrieve the package from my neighbors door. They’re great here!
Ahh apartments I bet? No storm door to at least hide it behind and more than likely a risk that someone might take the package. Fedex on the other hand, they suck even when coming to houses. LOL
I do live in an apartment, but I have a home office so I’m usually home all day anyway, and on days that I know I have a package coming I make sure not to leave. The DHL driver just doesn’t come. I have no problems with UPS or FedEx, but the DHL driver refuses to deliver. It’s not just me either, because I’ve talked to the management office and they say that they’ve had a number of complaints about DHL and they know that he doesn’t even try to deliver to any of the apartments. I’d be OK with that if he left the packages with the office, but he doesn’t even do that.
I have complained all 3 times to DHL, and the last time I called the corporate offices instead of just calling the 800 number. Then when the driver did finally show up at 6:00 PM, I told him that I was going to call and complain every time he pulled his “Resident not home” shit. I guess we’ll see what happens on my next order now.
DHL has always been awesome, but the driver they now have in my area is a lazy jerk who doesn’t want to do his job.
hey mark wats up my man?
I’ve never had a problem myself. Other than the fact that they seem to have so little to deliver that sometimes they be ringing my bell while I’m still asleep.
But everytime I’m out, they’ve always left the package right in front of my door. Which is a bit of a hassle because they have to climb a whole bunch of stairs to reach it.
Np here with DHL delievery. ![]()
My DHL driver is OK. No problems here. I just don’t like UPS much, their service is slow now days. I think the US Postal Service is highly underrated, actually. For the money, Priority Mail is a good deal and I wish I could ship all my stuff that way, but some places don’t do that. Plus for some reason it seems like in the summer the packages I get from the postal service are a little cooler, maybe they have air conditioning in the whole truck?
Oh, and shipping costs are getting to be downright painful, don’t you think? It’s probably why I’ve been ordering more stuff en masse.
Welll it turns out I had a naughty DHL driver. (Sounds like a porno plot!) I ended up going to the DHL site by the airport and picking up my package myself. When I asked the nice front desk lady if it would be possible to put a note in their system saying to put a sticky on the front door if no one was home, she got this stricken look on her face. She said, “They are supposed to do that. They’re good about it for a while and then they stop. I’ll let his manager know he hasn’t been doing it.”
Uh oh. Guess I got dude in trouble. I tried to soften it a bit by telling her I wasn’t mad or anything. But I don’t think it made much difference.
But so what? I got my lovely pheromones. And a book! How cool is that? I’d never even heard of it. Why We Love by Helen Fisher. Really interesting. It is about what science has discovered about love. But it is written in a kind of philosophical way so that it doesn’t seem to come across as A Boffin’s Book of Brain Scans for Dummies. When I’m done reading, maybe I’ll do a book report for ya. ![]()
I haven’t had any problems with DHL delivering my ANdrotics packages, but then again the driver doesn’t even bother ringing the downstairs buzzer. He just drops the package off at the door.
At least none of the neighbors has ever bothered it.
Ya gotta tell 'em Kit, otherwise you’ll always have to go pick up the package.
As I said I’ve had np with DHL delivery. However, when I have trouble with UPS I call and make ‘em bring it. Period. I rarely have problems with USPS…they’re great and my postal delivery lady is the best. I’ve given permission for her to sign for any packages I might receive. Works out well and I don’t gotta go to the post office to pick up nothin’. Tres convenient. I love her…her name is Rose. ![]()
