A few inaccuracies, sure, and a little too focused on sex, methinks. Of course, I think the sex focus says more about what’s on the mind of academics, than pheromones.
In any case, it’s great to be able to watch a little video on pheromones.
I wouldn’t link to it on the A314 page (which is currently inactive, incidentally). Maybe a store page, I would.
Problem is, I get enough questions about APC and Primal as is, I don’t want anymore. (I can show you an email I just received)
I feel like a representative for other companies sometimes, because I’ve used everything and will answer honestly. I’d rather people come here after they buy something, so I keep this thing going on, push things forward, not die, and you know, all the normal life stuff.
Besides customers, anybody with an interest in pheromones that has nothing to do with APC and such is free to stop by. If you know what androstenone, androstenol, and micrograms are, well… welcome!
Ok, now it’s linked. Last time I checked it wasn’t.
To take some heat off you’re questions, you can always refer them to my blog (pheroblog.blogspot.com). They can post comments and I’ll answer them. Just create one generic email that you send everyone. I’ve used everything too. Right now I’m populating the blog with short hand notes from my pherodiary. I’ve started by posting results from years ago and move them up to 2005. It’s just easier that way. If it all seems a little ancient, that’s why. Eventually I’ll roll out newer results as I sort through my initial ones.
I’d like your time devoted to the learning and less of the nonsense. Although my time is limited as well, I can’t seem to pull myself away from pherotalk.
Thank you for the offer, but I don’t mind responding with clarity to people. They do end up buying, which is part of my “not die” modus operandi, especially now with most clients fired.
My non-Androtics recommendations are actually quite predictible.
Unfortunately, ethics are important to me, and I may not be thinking so well of LaCroy soon. I see that they’ve fought one company’s faked purity with their purity nonsense on their homepage.
They one upped a lie, instead of fighting back by myth busting. That disappoints me, especially because the original myth they’re fighting states something akin to “impurities make compounds muskier”.
Let me ask you… what could be muskier than LaCroy’s products??
They fought this the wrong idea, in my book.
Do you know what tests have actually shown?
In our last test kit which has been out there for almost 2 years, we had a few forms of the exact same pheromone.
Same molecule, different chemists, different purities, different impurities. One was as “black label” and as close to perfect purity as you could get, having been hand synthesized by best androgen chemist in the entire world, with each synthesis checked checked by TLC and other means.
Everyone accross the board seemed to report THE SAME effects and smell for each.
You don’t get additional musky odors from one, or even noticably different results. You don’t get anything much different when something is .1 to 2% different. All you get is .1% to 2% less activity, that’s it.
The only other thing to worry about is WHAT impurities make up the impure part.
Some commercial labs, especially far offshore, don’t seem to care what metals they use to catalyze their reactions with. The impurities are just junk.
India, in particular, is just pumping out chemicals with jjjjunk. Life extentionists have been avoiding supplements with Indian made components, until they clean up their act.
Even onshore ACS reagent grade is often harmful. That’s not human grade. Reagents are for experiments with anything but livng humans.
Human grade, actual pharmaceutical grade, is USP grade, but it costs more to get that grading. What you basically want is USP like grade characteristics, without jacking the price up to get the useless USP desigination. (there’s some aspects to USP grading you don’t want, as I recall)
Even though you’re talking parts per billion, I don’t want any mercury in my spray on alcohol based cosmetics, thank you very much. You’re going to get at least 5% absorption through the dermis with an alcohol and dpg based spray.
I’m extremely health conscious, so that kind of thing matters to me. I want want the highest purity of pheromonal product possible, that has the least (or no) mercury, lead, and other harmful junk impurities.
Here, you see manufacturers making a mountain out of a molehole, with completely ignorance of chemical standards, and no testing as to what actually matters and counts in terms of quality of the product.
I was curious about the purity issue, & your reply answered my questions. Thanks.
I had read that castor oil act as a barrier & trans-dermal-absorbtion is the least/slowest (better than most veg oils i.e. jojobo, palm oil etc). Can it be used as a base layer on the spot where we apply pheromones?
God damn, I even cracked out the Internet Wayback Machine at archive.org, looking high and low to find where these videos went in the bleakness of Internet Past.. and I just didnt’ find it. This was the closest I got. I really hope someone out there can find these!
