I just wanted to take some time and thank the powers that run this forum for keeping it honest and allowing all sides of the pheromone debate to be active.
So far I have openly stated my questions, concerns, etc with pheromones and with claims made and I haven’t been attacked. This is very much appreciated and is not the web standard.
I make a hobby of investigating products with amazing claims and usually the forum response is VERY hostile. The last product line I really looked into they actually ripped me apart, then PUBLISHED MY PERSONAL INFO IN THE FORUM - AND LATER REMOVED IT (yes, the forum operators did this - published my personal info) and then just banned me so I could no longer make my case. Of course if you read through the thread (link below) you will see that banning me did not help.
I really want to thank you for the respect and level-headedness I have received on these forums. While my verdict on the mones is still out, this forum is well run.*

It is important that while we love to give our opinions and know we are free to do so we also respect others. We realize that everyone is not the same and that we are here to help one another.
We agree to disagree sometimes but do so respectfully and need to take each other feelings into consideration.
This forum is filled with different races and types of people :
Black Americans, Caucasians, Asians , west indians etc
Gays , Lesbians , Bis
Women looking for love, men looking for love and men and women just looking to have a good time
With all these differences as well as professions respect for other people opinions are important in order to run a smooth forum.

Thanks for the nice post! Well put. Can you please provide for me the names of the nine human pheromones in A314 and who discovered those pheromones and when? I cannot find ANYWHERE information about nine different human pheromones? What am I missing?
Also it says Putative Pheromones are ones that have not be validated? By who? Can you tell me the body that validates these pheromones?
Good luck, you won’t get the answer to that. Only Androtics knows, but two of the pheromones in A314 is Androsterone being the main one used, and another one being just a tiny bit of Androstenone.
Nothing like putting something on our body that is ‘known’ to effect the mind and not even knowing what it is… Man, you guys are brave. You cannot even know the side effects because you don’t know what you are putting on.
It’s not like this is just perfume. These pheromones can affect our minds and feelings; I don’t know – I am not one for taking a pill without knowing what is in it.
Simlarly many products we put in our mouths read “Natural flavours”
I don’t think you would get very far requesting a cologne manufacturer to tell you exactly what essential oils and chemicals they use in their cologne because they would be giving you the recipe to copy their product.
A314 is a commercial product produced by Androtics - They tell us it has pheromones in it, but like a cologne manufacturer it is not in their best interest to hand out the secret recipe… duh?

You are being very disrespectful and defiantly a case of fallacy of rationalizing Androtics decisions to not release the ingredients of A314. I have been reading some of your posts and I am tired of your attitude. What is your objective and why do you even care.
Eh, don’t worry man let’s just drop it. We all know no one can stop the giant we call Androtics. Especially not nobrain, so no biggie. He’ll just be bringing a water gun to a gun fight.
Perhaps it should be. Look. The people at Androtics are open about their business model. They sell molecules to larger commercial entities, they sell molecules to private end users, and they do R&D. Their R&D method includes the aspect that end users that want to participate help fund it, and we report our findings. I don’t think anything is hidden.
Any company is allowed to have trade secrets that give them an edge in a market. Coca-Cola, Pepsi, computer software houses, perfumers, essentially anyone who has hit upon a great formulation. If you patent it, it becomes public knowledge, even if it is protected. You then have to protect your property, which can be expensive. Trade secrets, on the other hand, are not public knowledge, but they are only secret as long as you can protect it.
If you really wish to know what is in a chemical mixture, there is nothing stopping you from analyzing a sample by GCMS. You can do it yourself if you are a chemist, if you have graduate student friends, or you can send it off to have it analyzed on your own dollar. It’s the same if you wanted to find out what was in Chanel No. 5.
As for the molecules having an effect on you, there are plenty of articles published in scientific journals that can be accessed through public means or through a library. It is not the job of the community to spoon feed you the information. It is up to you to search and acquire the information. Androtics must pay for access to some articles, I have paid for access to some articles, and so must others if they choose.
If you don’t think pheromones are scientifically justified, you’ll have to fight that out in academic journals. If you don’t think Androtics puts the exact mcg amounts in their formulations, it’s up to you to prove it. If you don’t think the effects people see are real, you’ll have to resolve that with yourself. Ultimately, there are lots of things people pay money for under the guise of “entertainment” that they see value in, but that others may not.
