I am not suggesting everyone shouldn’t use it for work. That comment was really just from my own personal experience at work. For me I find people tend to touch me more not really in a inappropriate way but more then I am comfortable with in that environment.
They happen in any stage of life really we just dont take it as seriously as we age and mature. A crush to a young adult in high school for instance is noticed more by those around them and by the person experiencing the crush themselves simply because the maturity level of those experiencing it. For instance the teenage girl being convinced she will never love anyone else except her “crush” or she can not face the world without a particular pair of shoes all her friends have. Everything is more drama filled.
Then we grow up and its not that crushes stop. We still have them and no sorry I dont believe that people grow out of them. They are part of human nature and emotion. We just view those feelings differently then we did back then. Its not so drama filled.
Like dbot mentioned crushes are fun as long as you keep reality in perspective. I once had a crush on my husband. That cleared up though when we fell in love and made a commitment. Love is much deeper and meaningful then a simple crush.
Agasin I dont think there is really a clear cut answer. It means a little something different to each of us.
My thanks to Tisha and Bella for offering their enlightened opinions at my invitation. The female view has been missing and I know of no two more knowledgable contributors of either gender.
My point in this thread is that the “crush effect” attributed largely to P83 was not a useful description. It impliedsmore than P83 delivers.
Sorry to be the mean old pheromone engineer here but sometimes we need to deflate the claims that are overblown and misleading. P83 has its uses but creating a “crush effect” is probably not one of them.
Why do I link P83 and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)? Partially based on my own experience that I documented here:
A crush can also be partly a form of borderline obsession with your target. For example, I met a woman very beautiful, and 2 days later found myself fantasizing about her. Then when I went to the store to meet her I got all nervous dressing up as if I had to be perfect as if it mattered so much. I also got racing pulse, and pondered what it would be like to have her as my girl. She was young (in her early 20’s) and I’m 42 so it seemed like a fantasy.
I think that is my “experience” of a crush. To be honest I don’t like it on me. It feels like it takes away all my power .
“She was young (in her early 20’s) and I’m 42 so it seemed like a fantasy.”
“There’s no fool like and old fool.”
But then, I’ve had such experiences too. When you’re in your 40s+ and faced with such an opportunity, being the cool, in control actor is of vital importance. The last response you want in yourself is to get the tizzies about the young chick.
I get crushes at least once a month and I keep these girls on my radar until they tell me something or do something to me that offends me… Right now I personally have 3 crushes, and I mone up every time I see them (when I know I am going to see them). At school I tend not to mone up as much as I did back at Community college but when I do, I am usually far to wasted and when I am not, the girl is…
I am working on a perfect balance now… I am working on letting go of the girl , just so it is fair for both of us. And once I am “single” for real, I will be a lot better with my game!
Nah, P83 is to sensual to describe it as puppy love. Its hard to explain. Its like a pleasant heat that builds up in side and is expressed through touch, body language and flirtation. Of course effects are going to vary from individual to individual.
I consider p83 as that Drunk horny feeling… Great for getting people to get more touchy feely with you. GREAT for parties or a girl that you want to start something more with. It is a disinhibitor…
