I just got a call from my folks in the USA. My mom, sister and brother were driving to Las Vegas from Dallas and their car just got hit by lightning!!! A huge bolt just blitzed them and the car is a write off!!! But not a scartch on any of them!
Now, I don´t know what the odds are of that but I reckon that someone was watching over them!!!

im no professor in science, iv learned in science class a few years ago, that if your inside the car, then as long as you dont touch any metal parts of the car, then you are perfectly safe (wouldnt wanna try it though, but saw a guy on top gear sit in a car while they sent a steady stream of electricity with the same power as a bolt of lightning through the roof of it), shouldnt think its very healthy for the cars electronics electronics though ^^

Yeah, my brother said that his car was dead, all the electronics were shot, they were near Gallup, New Mexico, waiting for a tow truck! And would probably have to get a rental car!

yea, thats the word, i could only remember that it was somthing with cage, but saying that the car was a cage wouldnt make much sense ^^
but as stated, as long as your inside and not touching anything your fairly safe.
