EDIT: here it is… dang! I won’t be able to see it this time around.
A NUTHER EDIT: Wow! It looks like this eclipse will be transversing the Cancer/Leo cusp. That should be a very interesting day all around… blowups of issues of ego and emotional self protectionism/defense. Thank God it isn’t transversing Iran or Pakistan. But it is going across China.
I think I’ll sleep in… like all day.

I don’t know. Astrology is something I played with many years ago. I studied with Dennis Flahrety, who was one of the best astrologers I’ve ever met (before he switched to Vedic Astrology). We’d go to parties together and all he would bring along was an ephemeris. Then he’d get the guests to sit with him one by one, and give him their birth dates. He’d whip through the ephemeris, looking at planetary placements at birth and pretty much nail them on all their challenges, their loves, their weaknesses and their strengths, and then he’d tell them what was going on in their lives right then and there. These were high society parties, where he was hired as entertainment. I saw more shocked faces than ever before or since. It was pretty awesome.
All I know is that the birth planet placement stuff is pretty accurate. The transits, not so much, with the exception of eclipses, which usually mean something that has been swept under the rug for way to long is about to explode out into the air where you have to deal with it. We’ll see if that holds true for this one.
Personally the eclipse is activating my grand fire trine by forming a trine from the second house (house of my stuff) to Jupiter in the fifth. I think I’ll go invest in some lottery tickets tomorrow. Tomorrow should be exceedingly lucky and easy for me.

Ha, ha you just lost me there diane but good luck! Hm, now I wonder what this eclipse will bring indeed. Guess we’ll just wait and see, I like a little scare every now and then.
Here’s a little bit of simplified information:
Basically, squares (90 degrees), quincunx’s (150 degrees) and oppositions (180 degrees) are difficulties, and a trines (120 degrees) and sextiles (60 degrees) are fortunate aspects in a natal chart. Conjuncts (0 degrees between two or more planets) mean that the energies of these are blended and work in concert with each other in aspect to other planets.
I’ll lay out the three most prominent aspects in my natal chart.
A grand trine in a natal chart is where three planets are all almost exactly 120 degrees from each other. Mine are with planets in houses ruled by fire (Sagitarius, Leo, Aries), so it is a grand fire trine. Grand trines are rare because they need to be so tight in their degrees of separation. Grand trines in a natal chart are both a blessing and a curse. They show areas where things are really easy for you. The also show where you can fail to grow because things are too easy for you. You never build character where these are prominent unless hardship is also predicted by the chart, specifically involving at least one of the planets of the grand trine.
Mine is not so easy that I have a wasted life of ease, because I have a very tightly aspected Yod (finger of God), and a very tight square aspect to the grand trine.
The Yod is with Venus conjunct (zero degrees) Mars in Aries sextile (60 degrees) Uranus in Leo, both in quincunx (150 degrees) aspect to Saturn in Capricorn.
This means that I am always having a fight between the leadership/warrior parts (Aries) of my personality, and the unusual, quirky, odd, and self-indulgent (Uranus in Leo) parts of my personality, with the ultra-responsible and serious (Saturn in Capricorn) part of my personality. The challenge with this yod is to harmonize both my uniqueness and my leader self, always under the rule of responsibility. If I ever do master the Yod, I will have tremendous energy at my disposal to accomplish whatever I set out to do, as long as I’m responsible while I do it. (It isn’t easy learning to be responsible when you have grand trines opening doors for you almost everywhere, AND you are a firey, quirky and self-indulgent Gemini.)
But, here is the tricky part. Grand trines show wasted life energy in a chart only if they are not activated by a tight square (90 degrees). Squares in a chart show areas of extreme hardship that are difficult to overcome. I have a very tight square with one of the planets of the grand trine with Saturn in Capricorn, the point of my Yod. A badly aspected Saturn in Capricorn is the ultimate cruel and unforgiving father archetype… rules are rules and you break them at your peril.
All this together makes for a tricky and thorny path, learning to open doors only at need rather than because I can, a lifelong quest for harmonizing disparate and extremely different energies, and the attainment of the understanding and acceptance of responsibility… not an easy task at all! But definitely an adventurous one.
There is a lot more to my chart, but these are a few of the more easily recognizable and easy to read bits.
All of me is right there, laid out for anyone skilled at reading a chart to see. All of it is extremely accurate to the nth degree.

I don’t know about that. When intelligent people who have nothing to gain say something works, I tend to think there is something to it. First Whitehall, now Diane. Astrology is probably worth looking into, time permitting.
to me astrology is just vague generalities and anything can happen, just like psychics.

Like i said we had tons of intelligent people running around telling us the end of the world was going to come crashing down because of the y2k bug and nothing happened, we also had tons of people saying all these prophecies about y2k and nothing happened. I am sure in 2012 we are going to have the same thing. People are always looking for something to hang onto, I don’t know why.
