THAT IS EXACTLY RIGHT.
I like to make a table like this – it makes more complex mixes easier to manipulate:
dose ph conc spray 5x ml
4mcg TAA 20mcg 1/5 01 06
5mcg Bet 25mcg 1/5 01 06
3mcg P93 15mcg 1/5 01 06
5mcg P74 25mcg 1/5 01 06
5mcg P83 25mcg 1/5 01 06
xxxx xxx xxxxx 001 05 30
This text editor makes it impossible to create a nice looking chart no matter which font you use. Damnit! ![]()
The first column is the dose.
The second column is the pheromone.
The third column is the cocentration of the bottle I’m mixing from.
The fourth column is the theoretical number of sprays of concentrate per dose. The column four total is the number of sprays of the mix per dose.
The fifth column is the number of theoretical sprays of concentrate per five doses. Why five? You have to complete column four before doing column five. Five doses is like a common denominator and gives you whole numbers easy to work with. If you had a column four with 1/5 and 1/10, you might use 10 doses for column five. I typically run into 1/2 and 1/4 in column four so I use 4 doses for column five.
You have to complete column five before doing column 6. Column six values are a multiple of the column five values. Here they are each six times the value in column five. Using six times gives you 30ml total which is the size of a regular spray bottle. If you wanted to make two bottles then you would use a multiple of 12 to create column six and the total would be 60. For a 5ml togo bottle you’d use a multiple of one and column five and six would have the same numbers.
But remember a togo spray is 5/6 or .833 times the size of a regular spray. The total of column four gives you 1 spray per dose. You’d have to adjust that to 1.20 sprays per dose if you pour it into a togo bottle. Of course, if your concentrates are from togo bottles, it will all work out and you’ll have to recalculate in the opposite direction if you pour it into a 30ml spray bottle (i.e. the 30ml bottle dose would become 5/6 of a spray).
