Now here’s my question. Steve originally used about 4 sprays. With MX301 (which is ICM 0.25.1a) my “sweet spot” is 2 sprays.
Now, since this mix contains 6 pheromones, obviously the mcg/spray of each pheromone decreases. Would the MX301 be adjusted to account for this (by increasing the mcg/spray of the 6 pheromones by a factor of 6?)
I ask because I want to know if I should continue using 2 sprays like I do with MX301 or multiply it by 6 and use 12 sprays? I’m guessing I could test it out of course haha, but I’d like to know my math is correct before testing
The calculator will have based the ml’s of each product on you getting the mcg per spray that you designated - say 5mcg per spray of None, for example.
Therefore, if you use 2 sprays of MX301 then you should be able to just use 2 sprays of your mix.
Steve just finds 6 is his sweet spot rather than 2…
Yeah, I understand that, but then you have to also realize that by mixing 6 pheromones in one bottle, you are getting 6 different pheromones per spray, right? The calculator is great for getting what I have into the desired mcg/spray, but it also notes to me that I need 7.33 sprays to achieve the desired dosage.
So basically, I wanted to know if the MX301 was adjusted for that or is it like mine where you also would need 7.33 sprays of MX301 to get for example 4 mcg of TAA? Do you get what I mean?
It will depend on the strength of your raw ingredients. For example if you have TAA at 12.5 mcg it will take more of it to equal 4 mcg in the finished composite. If you have TAA at 37.5 it will take less of it because it is more concentrated so you will need less sprays when you get it all mixed in the bottle. I found that with my first version of …1a. I needed 6 sprays because I bought everything at 12.5 mcg strength. I’m getting ready to make another batch of it but I’m getting everything at 62.5 so I don’t need as many sprays to get the desired results.
That does make it more complicated. From what my calculator tells me, I need almost 8 sprays to achieve the required strength (I currently have 5 mcg for everything).
So I guess I’m going to need 16 sprays to achieve the equivalence of 2 sprays of MX301??
In his original posts of ICM, Steve mentioned he used 4-6 sprays. So technically he did use both lol. But I’ve found that he posted his results with 4 more often than 6, but also mentioned both.
Think of this as a great way to learn what each ingredient does and how they interact before you actually make your composite. That is what I did and I learned a LOT about what the pheros can and cannot do.
Teach a man to fish… Maybe you should figure out how to work the calculator before you try go any further. Then if you have any problems ask any questions you have.
It’s not hard, the calculator basically tells you what to do on the right side of its menu. You don’t need any help, it’s already there. How more dummy proof can that be really? Plus there’s already a wealth of information on how to make these ICM mixes, just search and/or read through Snoopy’s journal/posts.
