Direct calculation instead of iterative calculations leading to faster results.
Ability to change how the results are calculated (in no. of sprays or in ml.) for individual components on the fly.
More intuitive interface.
More error checks. More robust.
The modified mix calculator contains a new feature that suggests what concentration of each pheromone component to get so that your final mix can provide you with the required dose in a single spray.
This will help you in making your purchase decisions before you create your mix and will reduce disappointment and wasted money from realizing after you purchase a pheromone that the concentrations are too low to make your mix and you will need multiple sprays to equal a single dose. The instructions on how to use this new feature are in the text box at the bottom right corner of the software.
Another important modification allows you to make your mix with extremely low concentrations by automatically increasing the number of decimal points for rounding.
(I have given out the code to many people and even released an online version where people can see the formulas, so I encourage you to create your own Mix Calculators, something that you can customize to your own needs.)
Hey. Amazing mix calculator! is there a way to take note of what mixes we use and/or compare them to others? Like a chart with dosages or something? If there isn’t id be awesome if you could create one.
Another, as always useful amazing awesome calculator.
I do have a question in the delivery field. What are the fractions and how do I use that?
Lets say I’m using ICM 1A and making it into an oil mix. Normally I do this at 7 times the alcohol strength for proper diffusion. Sorry math is not my strong part, women are
Thanks Steve!
The fractions under Delivery for each pheromone constituent depends on the bottle that you are using to add that pheromone.
For example, if you are spraying that pheromone from a to-go size bottle (which has 40 sprays for 5 ml, therefore giving 0.125 ml/spray) you will select 0.125 from the drop down box. Hope that helps.
The calculator freezes/hangs/crashes sometimes… after editing the fields and ran calculation … program also freezes and crashes, or if i load data… (I don’t know why exactly?)
You wrote the prog in .NET ?
Some errors are about Windows-Forms…
Do you use many loops in loops in your program?
Maybe there’s an overflow and the program crashes…
Your calc needs “Exception Handling” routines as well, i think!!?!
Anyway… going to write my own kickass-calculator in ASM, if i have more time to prog. … hmm…
