I was wondering if there was a spreadsheet that helps calculate how many sprays of a particular product is needed to obtain a final mix concentration. Basically I want to re-create SteveO’s ICM.025.1a mix with the products I have at my concentrations. I tried making my spreadsheet already based on a thread that tried to explain it, but the numbers just don’t look correct to me.
As a background, I have:
TAA at 10 mcg/spray
None at 10 mcg/spray
Beta Androstenol at 10 mcg/spray
P93 at 15 mcg/spray P74 at 10 mcg/spray
TAC at 15 mcg/spray
My spreadsheet looks a bit like this:
(this is to obtain 5ml final product and assuming .15ml / spray)
I think I am missing something because my concentration of P93 seems way too high. Sorry I don’t show formula, but the “mL amount to add to container” formula is Total ml of final product (5) divided by total mcgs of pheros in the mix (27) multiplied by the desired end amount of that particular phero (in the case of TAA, 4). I believe I am missing something because the formula doesn’t take into account my bottle concentration.
On another note, how accurate is the atomizer? My calculation says .15mL for every spray.
Your starting concentrations are a little low. But here is what you do. Mix the following: (note that if you are using the sprays to mix, rather than mls, then they must all be from the 30 ml Androtics bottle which outputs 0.15 ml/spray)
TAA : 5.4 ml or 36 sprays
None : 6.75 ml or 45 sprays
Beta Androstenol : 6.75 ml or 45 sprays
P93 : 2.7 ml or 18 sprays
P74 : 6.75 ml or 45 sprays
TAC : 4.5 ml or 30 sprays
Alcohol with no pheromones: 7.65 ml or 51 sprays (This is important, otherwise you will need 2.43 sprays of the final mix to get the right dosage, which is hard to get, instead of a round figure, 3 sprays from the bottle, for the final mix to get the correct dosage!)
Now 3 sprays of this mix from the Androtics 30 ml bottle will give you the equivalent dose of 1 spray of Steveo’s mix.
I am still trying to figure out how to make the spreadsheet for the general case on this now. The last time I took a chemistry class was 14 years ago lol… My stoichiometry skillz are very rusty.
Much appreciated on final numbers for my concentration nbully. I guess my final total ml will be ~40ml with the numbers you gave.
You can always divide by a constant to get lower amounts. So if you want total to be ~ 20 ml divide all numbers by 2. That wil not have any effect on the ratios or output, but will make the measurement a bit harder (as the numbers become lower they need to be more precise).
Alternatively you can mix in a bigger than 30 ml bottle and transfer the 30 ml later to the Androtics bottles and the rest to another bottle.
