Hello ladies, I wanted to see what’s in everyone’s perfume’s collection that you use on a daily basis and love, and what works with covering up pheromones.

Here’s the perfumes I use, you may have tried some of them, and some will be new, but they are definitely worth sniffing :slight_smile:

Magie Noir by Lancome: a trail of smell will be everywhere, a very unique and sophisticated smell. It’s gorgeous and very signature-like.

Niki de Saint Phalle (I ordered that one smell unsmelled, and it is awesome. You can get it online, it’s not too expensive if you get the EDT in a smaller bottle. It actually goes well with Spaceland, believe it or not. Hard to describe, but it’s on a sugary sweet side that does not smell like food. A cloud maker, most surely, just like Magie Noir). Highly recommended. Very sexy, and a little easier to use than Magie Noir for daytime.

Ralph Lauren Blue (I really like that one), on the lighter side, but still a well-rounded multi-scent, albeit less complex than previous ones.

I have a ton of other ones. I actually love the way Realm for women smells. It’s a great fragrance to cover up any neroli-scented products, and I get a lot of compliments on the smell all the time. I am not counting on the pheros in there whatsoever.

I also have Mystere by Rochas (it’s definitely more of a womanly smell than a girly smell), has a cootchy note to it to cover up any pheros. Very complex and beautiful smell, not for everyone though.

My husband cannot stand any foody smells like anything containing chocolate, sugar, vanilla, he absolutely hates Angel and Pink Sugar, so I really cannot use that even though so many people love them.

HotMama…that is bizarre! I use to wear Niki de Saint Phalle all the time but thought they didn’t sell it anymore…and Magie Noir by Lancome! I haven’t wore either of those in years. Niki was my favorite perfume…I am going to have to get some online now! Thanks SO MUCH for the info!

Well, I am allergic to most commercially produced perfumes, so I usually blend my own. Amber, musk, and vanilla are my favorites…:smiley: Amber tops the list…:smiley:

i’ve been using jasmine black coconut oils with a little demeter lilac…I don’t like foody smells either-- except coconut, apparently other people like it too… :wink:

I wear Aquolina Pink Sugar, Victoria’s Secret Pear and am starting to experiment with Love Potion oils and perfumes. I also have a perfume making kit and usually create my own concoctions. I switch up my scents on a daily basis.

Hi Countesszero…I bought some samples of the Love Potion oils and was thinking of trying them with EoW. I haven’t received them yet, but I’m patiently waiting. I also bought Pink Sugar and just love it…however…it seems to loose it’s smell after a few hours. Have you noticed that about PS? BTW…where did you get your perfume making kit…and is it rocket science making your own scents? LOL!

I have Love Potion Gold and it really covers EW well. Ambrosia will do the trick too. I’m waiting for another order containing Potion Bastet which I’ve heard covers great as well.

I simply adore Pink Sugar I havent noticed that the scent fades fast. In fact over time the scent changes into something even more sexy on me. Perhaps in your case the scent hasnt faded but you’ve become immune to it.

I bought my perfume making kit off of amazon.com. It’s so much fun to make my own concoctions and it’s easy too. Of course with all the great oils and perfumes out there I really havent made anything recently.

Thanks Countesszero! I think you may be right about the Pink Sugar. I just think if I can’t smell it, no one else can…and i do love it. When I first purchased it, I sprayed half the bottle around the living room so I could smell it all day!

I didn’t order the Love Potion Gold…I got the Black and Red…plus a few others. I didn’t order the Potion Bastet either, so you will have to let us know how that works with EoW.

anyways - i’ve got pink sugar, and that’s the only perfume i’m currently using. I’m a big fan of Bath And Body Works lotion/spray combos tho. Right now I switch off between Sensual Amber and Cucumber Melon, and I’ll be giving Country Apple a whirl sometime soon too.

Over the last few years I’ve evolved from a perfume lover into a perfume collector, and finally into an amateur perfume maker, so I may wear several different scents in a day - things I’m developing myself or other amateur perfumers’ scents I’m testing in order to give feedback, plus the commercial ones I wear for pleasure.

I love amber, spice, woods, greens, and white florals the most. A few favorites are Angelique Encens, Indecence, Douce-Amère, Santal de Mysore, Balmain de Balmain, Coriandre, Serge Lutens Fleurs d’Oranger, and Aoud Damascus. I think any of these would cover EoW just fine … I don’t go for the light fruity wimpy perfumes in vogue these days.

hey contess— i just bought a 20 bottle sampler from love potion perfumes :smiley: …I think gold was on my list… In terms of covering eow… rubbing on an oil over it after it’s dried down doesn’t alter/weaken it in any way?

Katie, don’t feel bad I have a tendency to do the same thing, especially with the Pink Sugar but am now trying to control myself. I can’t wait to receive the Bastet. I was hoping it would come today but oh well. Tomorrow’s another day. I’ve laced the LP Gold with EW and am planning on having some fun with the hubby tonight. I’ll post my results.

Sam17, I love to work with oils and have always applied EW and followed with an essential oil of one kind or another. IMO rubbing the oil over the EW in no way weakens it. For me, depending on the oil,(Pink Sugar,Vanilla or a Love Potion) the results, reactions, pleasure factor? is heightened a great deal. Oils work really well with my body chemistry. You should try it.

Thanks Countess! Great information. I am still waiting for my order from Love Potions also. I thought it would be here by now…but “oh well”. I am still waiting for my Eow order also. Can’t wait to get that so I can see for myself how wonderful the smell is! lol…

I’m big on the love potion oils that all of us have been sampling recently. I haven’t used any as a cover, though, except for Pink Sugar. EoW dries down to a very barely-noticable fruity scent on me anyway.

I liked Aquolina’s Pink sugar, but like you, HotMama, my guy doesn’t care for things that smell “sweet”. Which is why I’m at a loss for fragrances - I gravitate toward foody scents! I had a BPAL oil called “Eat Me” (:roll_eyes:) that was divine… smelled exactly like someone baking a vanilla cake, and throwing a bunch of berries on top… It was fantastic. I ended up mixing it with my Essence of Woman. Since that oil didn’t last long on me, I get that sexy vanilla just long enough to cover the cheesy EoW smell, and then both of them are virtually untraceable.

Too bad the boyfriend doesn’t care for foody scents, though; now I’m on the prowl for new fragrances.

I want to find a nice green tea scent. I have a green tea shampoo that smells amazing, so I’m off to look for a matching perfume. :stuck_out_tongue:
