Sexy sexy!
I really like aquolina’s pink sugar, but BOY is its scent too ferociously overwhelming fo me. For ME, its an instant headache. I counter that by wearing it on the back of my neck.
Flowerbomb was delicioussexyawesomeholymolywhatavixen when it was available exclusively at saks. since they’ve gone a bit more mass market and i’ve seen it in nordstrom, it just isn’t the same. if you can score a bottle of flowerbomb from a few years ago, ooooh, it has this fearlessly sexy burnt sugar/patchouli/wood note that makes people smolder around you. (something the nordstrom version, in my opinion, is missing.)
fresh’s cannabis santal is exhilarating to me. don’t know how close you are to a barney’s, but i make sure to infest their perfume area with that scent. Fresh has also been rolling out a lot of their own boutiques lately, so check that out! i personally don’t dig on a lot of their line, but cannabis santal is just amazing and addicting. its sweetly, innocently herbaceous. ever smelled the butter after your stoner baker friend melted it with herb inside? it’s as tummy tingling as that, warm melted, full fat irish churned butter with this hint of marijuana. It smells like that buttery, herby steam. And you wont have to worry that the 5-0 is going to be on your tail for carrying.
Tea for Two is another one of my higher noted favorites. It’s pretty and sophisticated. Not so much for the saccharin syrupy sugar fan, but very nice when you want a delicate, pretty thing to wear in the daytime.
Musc Ravageur? Don’t get me started. That is the mother of all orgasms. Woody, sweaty, ambery, musky, sweet, enveloping, spray it on and let it transform you into a sex GODDESS. You can wear this in the daytime if you dare. Pairs soooo well with MX135, or a TAH in chocolatini, because they’re both musky and diffusive, and you end up being the pied piper of attention. Quite literally, you’ll have a parade following you everywhere.
Vivienne Westwood’s Boudoir. Not sold stateside. I’m into it some days, and I’m not. I know some ladies huff and moan at the very thought of Boudoir, but I don’t think it sexifies me as much as Ravageur does. You’ll think it’s nothing spectacular at first, hell, you’ll even want your money back because you think its a perfume based on hype alone… but then an hour later, you’ll casually be driving in your car listening to music, and WHAM - what’s that sexy gorgeous smell? This sexy smell will follow you… then you realize, “holy cow, that smell is me!”
oh, and i can’t forget this floral. Hanae Mori. it’s powdery and white floral in a good way. Gosh I was just reminded how secretly amazing this fragrance is the other day… I was passing by some random girl in the mall, caught a whiff of a beautiful, familiar sillage, snapped a 180, and exclaimed out into the open, “Where is the pretty smell coming from?” And I glare at this girl and say, “Is that you? What are you WEARING!” and HOPING to learn of a new sexy fragrance, I was slightly disappointed at her very meek response, “… Hanae Mori?” … This is a fragrance I bought 6 bottles of in 2004
I still haven’t bought the Love Potions potions… Am I in the Stone Age, or what??
Most of the aforementioned, especially the sweeter, more saccharin scents, pair wonderfully with some of our more gourmand scents, like chocolatini, cookie, and coconut. Cookie and coconut sit on top of this creamy vanilla platform, and either delve into baked, warm, chocolatey velvetness, or tropical coconut creamy dreaminess.
