Newbie trick#4. Failure to own the signal. When I started I had good days and not so good days. A lot of things can influence this. I think “Tater’s” observation about dehydration is one of the things to watch for. If you’re shooting for a GREAT day though, you’ve got to “own the signal”.
Most of the Androtics products carry a little tag line. Instant Shine’s is “Confident and more brilliant than the rest”. That tag line is not just what the product can help you achieve. It’s a story you can tell yourself, an goal you can shoot for, a person you can be.
One of my best days early on was this one Two nice experiences, One Weird . The reason I got treated so well by the gate desk guy is that I was acting like an important person on his way to a seminar. I was acting the part of an a314 man with a big hit of Ishine. I was owning the signal. You can tell from the post that I didn’t really realize it at the time. When I wrote it I was putting most of the credit on the pheromones. In fact I wasn’t totally sure about the whole experience. Looking back now I can see better what was happening. The pheromones were just lending credit to the person I was projecting that day. I still don’t know what I was projecting to the guy in the washroom, I hope I never project it again. :o
Lesson, spend that week testing a product learning to BE the person wearing it. If you have an off day analyze to see if you were being congruent with the signal. If you have a great day, study it, and see what you were doing that made it work. ![]()
