My Thoughts On Creed Fragrances

I also have six samples of the creed colognes and the following is my thoughts on the different products.

EROLFA

Fragrance Notes: Tangerine, Bergamot, Sandalwood, Ambergris.

This scent has a fresh citrus marine fragrance that reminds you of the sea. Its a quality scent and would be perfect scent for your vacation or the Summer time. For me though it reminds me of a lot of supermarket deodorants that have the similar marine fragrance. When you smell it even though it is high quality the fragrance will not be unfamiliar to you.

VIRGIN ISLAND WATER

Fragrance Notes: Lime, Coconut, Jasmine, White Rum

LOL. Well what can I say about this fragrance it is tropical and smells like a cocktail you have had while chilling out on a beach in Jamaica. It is a one of a kind type of smell, I mean it smells like you have spilled Malibu all over yourself as you were trying to apply your sun tan lotion.

For me this is a novelty fragrance that you would wear for parties, going out with people who know you. A summer time fragrance that you would wear for a laugh.

SILVER MOUNTAIN WATER

Fragrance Notes: Blackcurrant, Tea (No I am not joking )

This fragrance is very nice its fresh, crisp and has a light sweet powdery blackcurrant smell. It does make you think of mountain streams but maybe thats me been influenced by the name of the product. I like it but it smells a bit to feminine for my tastes I cant help thinking this would smell good on my girlfriend. And because of that I could not wear this.

BOIS DU PORTUGAL

Fragrance Notes: Cedar, vetiver, sandalwood, lavender.

Now this is a mans man fragrance that you would expect Clint Eastwood and Chief Executives around the world to wear. Its a very masculine power fragrance. Its spicy, woody and I swear I can smell a hint of ginger. This product is not for youngsters as it seperates the men from the boys and it does have that old man spice smell to it. But I like it and it would go well with my A314, a good strong manly scent that I would say is for conossieurs like a good cognac.

HIMALAYA

Fragrance Notes: Mandarin, grapefruit, Sandalwood, musk

I have to say after Green Irish Tweed this is my favorite, It jumped out to me amongst all the others. Imagine if you entered heaven through the gold pearly gates and took a big breath in through the nose thats this scent to me. Or if you was a at the top of Mount Everest on a good day taking that deep breath in.

This fragrance has a light fresh musky sandalwood smell to it and is sublime. It has a mystical note in the smell that I cannot put my finger on. I may buy a bottle of this.

TABAROME

Fragrance Notes: Tobacco Leaves, Green Tea, Ginger, Bergamot

This is another masculine scent that reminds me of a New York Gentlemans club where its members are playing poker whilst smoking expensive cigars and drinking coqnacs. This fragrance has a light musky tobacco smell that I do like. I could wear this but I think its better suited for the mature gentlemen who’s taste has been defined.

To sum up I am now a Creed fan and even the products I do not prefer I have to acknowledge the quality of them.

Congrats and welcome to the Club!

Believe it or not Silver Mountain Water or known as SMW on basenotes is one of my favourite next to GIT.

This just smells awesome on me and I get lots of compliments…not only that it is one of the few aquatics that actually lasts all day on me I get about 14-16 hours…most aquatics only last 4-6, it also has great diffusion..I think because it has a lot of synthetics and is one of the most unnatural out of all the creed but to me does not take away from the originality of Creed

Erolfa - I do not like it…too salty for me

Virgin island Water - I like it a lot, smells like having a pina cola and lasts a long time - but not Full bottle Worthy - would only use in the summertime, i dont mind getting a decant like 10 ml and might

BOIS DU PORTUGAL - I have tried this a few times, it is nice and very masculine like you said, but it just not for me

Virgin Island Water is exactly how you dscibed it, I think sun tan lotion and a pina colada on the beach. For some reason though, it doesn’t feel too femenine and a guy can perfectly be able to wear it without smelling too femenine. I would only dare to wear it on very sunny days though!

I have never tried Erolfa or Himalaya, but Silver Mountain Water, although great smelling, fades too quickly on me. It must be my skin chemistry.

Bois du Portugal is great in my book. It is a bit formal and I would say mature, but I feel the citrus top notes make it still very wearable, while the dry down is incredible. Even if it is a bit mature for my age, nothing can stop me from wearing it (other than the high prices lol).

I will add one that definitely deserves a mention: Millesime Imperial. My only full bottles are this one and Green Irish Tweed. Millesime Imperial is in my opinion very wereable, fresh, sweet, but not overly sweet, and good for any age.
