Check out theperfumedcourt.com website type in Creed and you will see various samples of different sizes you can buy.
I got some samples here for pretty cheap:
I’m going to get a whole bunch of creed samples, please name me all the good ones. I’m considering 9 or 12 samples.
So far, I have these in mind:
Original Vetiver
Himalaya
Green Irish Tweed
Silver Mountain Water
Tabarome Millesime
Millesime Imperial
Thanks to Tommy369 for some of the reviews.
Well . . . objectively speaking, all Creed should be good. They use quality materials and are made to the highest standards. From that point, it’s all personal preference. You may like one or two, you may hate them all, or you may love them all.
For my part, this is how I’d rate the ones I’ve tried:
Green Irish Tweed - The mainstay. As soon as I tried it, I ordered an 8oz. flacon. Great fragrance. Don’t listen to anyone who tries to tell you it’s the same as Cool Water. They are similar in the top notes, but GIT quickly develops into something rich and amazing while CW stays in the puddle that you sprayed it in.
Himalaya - A spicy fragrance. I have a sample, and am seriously considering getting more.
Original Vetiver - This is okay. I wouldn’t buy it for the price. A mild woody frag. Not as distinctive as GIT
Bois Du Portugal - Not on your list, but do not overlook this one. I have a sample in my drawer and it is incredible stuff. I need to experiment with it more to see if I can pull off the super musky rich woods.
Silver Mountain Water - A nice fresh frag. Fruity, but not in the generic way. Very unisex. I have an ounce. I like it, but have not decided whether it is worthy of a repurchase yet.
Good descriptions…and wow bought an 8 oz right away..of GIT, I have too many bottles to ever buy anything big no way, I now mostly buy stuff in 50ml even if it is not cost effective except for Creed I get usually in 2.5 or 4 oz
I do not like Original Vetiver, becomes too soapy for me, I have been exploring Vetivers actually and so far the ones I tried I like are Le Labo Vetiver 46, Serge Lutens Vetiver Oriental, and I really liked Frederick Malle Vetiver Extradanoire but it only lasted about 3 hours on me and vanished.
But still not sure if any of the vetivers are full bottle worthy for me, I might just get a decant.
Silver Mountain Water is my most used Creed in the summer/spring and is powerful stuff, only need 2-3 sprays lasts all day, is nice and fresh, and great sillage - also more modern then some of their older ones
Himalaya was my first Creed I owned and I do like it, but felt it just never stood out that it was worth the price, I might get a decant one day again.
Millesime Imperial - is beautiful in the summer/spring in the first hour or two but once the melon note wears off just feels liek the rest of the creed ambergris base and is too short lived not worth buying a bottle IMO
Tabarome Millesime - not good for young people, I just sampled this again the other day, think of walking into an old antique shop where people use to smoke lots of cigars, could not wait to scrub it off
Here are some others I recommend to try you might like:
Acier Aluminum
Erolfa
Virgin Island Water - great for summer only
One Creed you may want to stay away from is Neroli Savauge, I had a very disappointing time with the sample I got. I read up about this one and I really wanted to like it and was considering purchasing a small bottle.
Well when I got the sample I applied to my neck and wrists and all I could smell was a faint orange peel smell then in a few minutes the fragrance was gone. So I applied it again and the same result, I even poured the sample into a small atomiser and sprayed it on with no difference.
So I have a dodgy sample or the fragrance is just bad on my skin. Watch out for that sample if you have it.
I did not like Neroli Savauge as well…specifically because I cannot stand neroli LOL
Truth is not a lot of Creeds I find Full bottle worthy
