hello,so iv got some cash together. I am ordering some perfume oils colognes from commonscents which is mentioned on this site several times. I am ordering the entire creed collection especially the green irish tweed. Also all of the tom ford perfumes and a lot more about 15 in total. Whats your experience in this site, does the green irish tweed smell same as the original?what about the other creed ones from the site and the tom ford ones. Just want to know from people who have actually bought from there how close they are to the real thing as i will be spending a bit of money there. Please help me people
Creed GIT is my go to. While some may say it has varied that is moot. It is great in summer or winter, day or night. My wife even wears it sometimes.
I have been searching for e good fragrance oil supplier for quite some time…
but i still havent found anything even close to the fragrance shop ![]()
if you got the cash make sure you try them out
Common scents does not smell at all like GIT. Skip it.
If you don’t know what GIT smells like, try a sample first. You can find authentic Creed samples on ebay for $5-$10.
I’m getting ready to try “The Fragrance Shop” that idle mentioned.
If you like SMW, FF22 is pretty close, and it comes with pheromones. ![]()
Creed is hard to copy well.
GIT is overrated bigtime. I have it and I don’t notice the big deal with it. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver is my favorite of all time.
How about a link sir?

but as i said the prices are way more than what are they supposed to be.
But for now i havent found any supplier that offers the same quality.
And i have tried allot ![]()
wholesalebodyoils.com come close .. but again they hit too strong and in hot weather when you sweet they start smelling totally different. (in winter they are ok) ![]()
Anyone else try The Fragrance Shop? Idle’s reputation as having a trustworthy opinion is self-evident all over the forum, but scent perception can be a bit subjective. I just ordered a sample of their Creed Millesime Imperial type, since I have the actual Creed here that I can compare it to. If I’m sold on that, I’ll be looking into more of their stuff. In the meantime, I’d like to hear from others who have tried their products.
Thanks!
To answer my own question, color me impressed! While The Fragrance Shop’s version of Millesime Imperial isn’t a 1:1 copy, it’s pretty darned close. About the only thing it’s missing is the marine note that sits at the very tip of the aroma pyramid, and the leather note isn’t quite as “new car smell” leather. This is just on initial application. Gonna wait a little while and see how it dries down. It’s an oil, so that might take some time.
Just to follow up on that drydown, here’s what I found. After about 4 hours, it smelled pretty close to MI’s drydown. An hour or so later, the smell began to shift away from MI and took a path of it’s own. Not a BAD smell at all, but not exactly MI. It had a sort of powdery note to it.
In all honesty, though, I can see this as a viable stand-in for MI. A connoisseur would be able to pick it apart, but the average person wouldn’t be able to tell much of a difference. As a test, I applied a small bit of the oil to a tissue, and sprayed another with real MI. I let them both sit for a bit, then had my roommate do a sniff test. She couldn’t tell the difference. She’s a good example of the “average person” with regard to perfume scents, so I take that as a good sign.
I think the best use of this I can imagine is making a real bottle of MI stretch. Dab a tiny bit of the oil to the wrists and spread out to hot spots, then cover with a spray of the real deal, and Oliver Creed himself might be hard-pressed to tell if something was up.
