I sleep everywhere (and I mean everywhere, I fell asleep in a bar/lounge once) at anytime. I’ve been this way for years. It’s really getting out of hand. I went for a sleep study recently and the results were inconclusive or borderline Narcoleptic . The results are not excatly clear, but now I have to wait 4 months to be retested. I’m so tired it ruins my social life. I’d like to meet people, but I can’t if I’m just going to sleep my life away.
I go to bed around 8-9 ish and wake up around 8ish and I’m still tired, confused, and feel stupid all day.
I can’t even drink caffeine to stay awake because that puts me to sleep faster than Nyquil. Oh sometimes nyquil makes me hyper for the first 15 min - only if i take a little bit though.
I would love to know if there are any pheromones that will light a fire in my butt.
i dont know about anyone else but meo-est keeps me awake, like awake forever until its scrubbed off, i think ive read that it makes some others sleepy but im probably programmed a little different. it might be the same case with you
I’m sure people will chime in with some suggestions, but I wouldn’t be looking to pheromones for a solution on this.
Things like your diet would be a better start and, as frustrating as it is, doing the re-test of your sleep patterns. Maybe even seeing a dietician or a naturopath.
Pheromones aren’t designed for medicinal purposes Even if you found one that did pep you up for a little while, chances are that repeated exposure will leave you immune to the self effects anyway.
Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I honestly think you’ll find better measures to deal with this. Best of luck to you.
I would say TAF might help make you more focused, but the thing is, not everyone gets self effects and focus does not necessairly = awake.
I thought I was pretty bad with staying awake, i find it impossible to stay awake when I’m on the motor way and I pretty much always wake up when we come off of the motorway… (i dont drive, thankfully)
Anemia is something you could read up on, also blood sugar levels.
I have always had the same type of problem, but it has been from a lack of sleep because I have always been a night owl.
A very good friend of mine who wants to be a homeopathic doctor and is crazy about this type of stuff gave me the suggestion of forcing myself to go to bed at the same hour every night and cutting down on the 3 energy drinks a day (which I cut down on the energy drinks)
He also suggested not watching TV, or using the CPU, or using the cell phone for about 1-2 hrs before going to bed. I have been doing this on some nights and noticed that it does help.
My suggestion is to look at your patterns throughout the day and possibly trying to alter them.
No there is no pheromone that will keep you awake more and I would wait until your diagnosis before attempting them. Even then you should approach with caution.
You could have narcolepsy but since the tests were inconclusive it is possible that you may have a form of it called Cataplexy. This is sleep induced by a emotional trigger. Pheromones cause a emotional trigger and it could be worse for you.
Pheromones are also known to deplete the neurotransmitters causing tiredness in people which is another reason I would suggest not using them.
I am not a doctor but I do know there is no cure for narcolepsy, Cataplexy can be helped with depression meds. Are you sleeping well at night ? Do you wake up refreshed or are you tired when you wake ? Do you wake up frequently during the night? Cut out all caffeine and alcohol before bed. You want to make sure your achieving rem sleep at night. The body needs so much rem sleep a night to replenish itself and if you are not achieving that it can effect you during the day.
