<<newbie>>honestly - is this all for real??

Hello folks,I decided to register and ask some questions as I’ve spent the past hour reading posts here.
There seems to be an overwhelming amount of ‘types’ of pheromones mentioned here.It goes right over my head when reading about them…

Is it the case when guys here say for example “I use 2 sprays of ‘this’ and 3 sprays of the ‘other’, with great results…” - that just because it works for him it might not work for me or you in the same way?

I mean does this stuff work - really? Even, every day you go out with it? or is it the THOUGHT that your wearing it might give you extra confidence maybe?

I’d love to try some out but have no idea what to try!!I was thinking of trying “pheromore” as they give a year guarantee!Anyone tried it?
(hope Ive posted this in the right place!)

Hi there and welcome!

There is tons of info and you’ll eventually read through a lot of it. In order to determine which pheremones you’ll want to try, you should tell us what you want to use them for. I’m pretty new here myself but I have already experienced the power of pheremones. And yes, there are pheremones that actually make you feel better so when you are more confident, that will also trigger results. One product that you will hear a lot aboiut is Instant Shine. I haven’t gotten it yet, but it is on my wish list and will be my next purchase!

Best of Luck!

I’m sure you’ll get lots of responses… but…

There are so many products, because there are so many different pheromone molecules. We’ve looked at almost 100 molecules now, and found about 30 different different ones that seem to act as useful human pheromones.

It’s like colors… you have a few of them…and when you mix them, there’s even more!

In aromatherapy (using plant oils to affect mood), you have maybe 400 different plant oils. They all create different mood effects on their own, and when mixed, create different ones.

You could think of pherones like “aromatherapy X 10”. Not what we have 10 times more human pheromones than plant oils (we don’t yet), but rather, the effects are least 10 times stronger than even the best aromatherapy blends. They’re also much more unique (aromatherapy blends usually involve some sort of relaxation).

Pheromones are basically scent like molecules that you feel, more than you can smell consciously. Yes, many have a smell (mostly human like/skin like, since they are based on molecules naturally found on human skin), but the feelings created and other biological, and subsequently psychological, reactions are more important than the actual conscious odor.

Pheromones are basically the thing we were talking about, but didn’t have a common word for yet, back in the 50s to 70s and thereabouts when we said we had “chemistry” with someone. You don’t hear that term very often anymore, but it’s an appropriate one.

I hope that makes sense.

I love that explanation MHarris!

I, too, think MHarris gave a great explanation! It makes all kinds of sense.

Thanks for that brilliant- yet simply put explanation of pheromones, Michael! Check out my siggy.

Thanks for all the replies.
Its all very interesting,to think that men and women - that I may have interacted with , today - could be wearing pheromones that could be influencing me and my opinion of them?
So, lets say I’m in a bar and I’m wearing a pheromone, say theres alot of cigarette smoke in the air, how can it work then? When all you can smell is smoke and beer (unless I’m so close I’m nearly pressing myself against the women!lol)
It couldn’t,could it?

Smoke does interfere with pheromone reception - but alcohol disinhibits responses to them, so maybe it <almost> evens out!

I dont understand?Disinhibits responses,do you mean if a person is a bit drunk that they’re more likely to pick up on the pheromene or ‘invisible scent’?(Ill call it that)

Welcome robbie

I was very very skeptical when I first starting using pheromones also. But you’re lucky to have found this site, the people are very helpful.

Alcohol makes people less able to control themselves. In other words, the pheromones + alcohol have no greater effect, but when people are sober, such as girls who would be horny around you, they may ‘hold it in’ moreso when sober than say, when tipsy at a bar/club/party environment.

I’ve also noticed that smoke can get in the way of pheromone effects, but luckily smoking is prohibited inside clubs/bars in California, so I’m good. You may want to try environments where there isn’t much smoke, although if you have on enough androstenone, it won’t matter how much smoke is in the air.

Cool, yeah,I’m kinda a skeptic, but I do believe theres definatley somthing in this.If I tried some for myself and it seemed to work then I’d believe 100%.
Time will tell,I mean I dont have too much trouble ‘pulling’ at the weekends when Im out but its usually always me that makes the first move to chat up,thats the way me and my mates are when we go pulling though, you get shot down afew times but eventually you score!if Im wearing some and the chicks are making a play for me then it could be the pheromones…eh?But which one>
( clubs and bars here are pretty much smoke free too,so that shouldn’t be a problem!)

This stuff is available here, has anyone tried it or make any sense of the ingredients and the quantities? 9.6mg of Androstenone , 8mg of Androstenol, 5mg of Androsterone, 5mg of Estratetraenol, 4.4mg of Androstadienone in a 20ml bottle - this is stuff called “Pheromore”

All of those pheromones are available individually in the Experimone section of the store (A-1 = androstadienone). You can read about their effects here on the forum. As far as the quantities, I don’t have any information on whether that’s a good mix. Maybe MHarris will comment.

Smoothplayer is right; I could’ve simply (and more clearly) said alcohol reduces inhibitions, so if a drinker is feeling your mones, they’ll be more likely to act on it. They don’t smell them any more acutely than usual, though.

I have no experience with the product, so I can only comment on this theoritically.

With 9.6mg of high quality androstenone, a spray or drop from any normal size bottle would be great to:

a. Overwhelm people’s perception of pheromones (thus being discounted – the “invisibility OD” effect),
b. Get in a fight with

That much androstadienone and androstenone combined (two of the world’s smelliest pheromones) will also get a “you stink!” effect from people who don’t go anosmic to your overdose immediately.

All together, on paper that’s a useless mix, unless diluted. Overdosing pheromones is as useless as underdosing if not a little dangerous when you’re talking about androstenone (the fight and “you stink” effects).

The reality of the mix could be quite different. Most manufacturers don’t include what they say they do, because they don’t take this business seriously. That could be to your benefit in this case.

On the other hand, if they are actually including that much androstenone, they may be using substandard Chinese pheromones which don’t contain a lot of active product (if any at all, in some cases). If you use 9.6mg of something only 10% active (meaning you get .96mg active product) you can give people high total quantity numbers for marketing without making them overdose when they actually use the product.

Let me know how it works if you try it.

Michael, I was thinking that those quantities were the total quantity in the 20-ml bottle. Is that what you’re thinking? I don’t know how much 'none, for example, that would translate to, per drop. If there are 20 drops per ml, then it would be 0.024 mg/drop, right?

… and Instant Jerk has 0.015 mg per spray (a spray = more than a drop) - okay, I get the picture.

FIGHT CLUB!

Right, according to your numbers, Carrie, it’d be anout 60% stronger than our own Jerk product.

High androstenone = bar fight

When we were doing more tests with gay users, one of the things they always commented on was that high androstenone level products created a “bar fight” type vibe they attribute to hetero bars. An environment that supposedly doesn’t exist in gay bars. (as in, there’s rarely a gay bar fight or even the type of male bravado and untoward “chest beating” pre-fight behavior you find at any hetero hangouts)

I found those comments to be fascinating, in what they reveal both about gay and straight culture, and the role of androstenone in each.

I am not gay but when I dance (like in a club), I seem to dance in a gay way (female friends frequently confirm this). It’s just my way of dancing. Before using androstenone, I was often approached by gay men when I was dancing. It’s not problem, I just tell them I am not interested - but since I have started using androstenone, I have never been approached again my gay men when dancing.

Absolutely fascinating.

We now have a (very cool) gay user who’ been posting on here… R0N. I think he mentioned using Turn Up The Heat during sex. I wonder what his experiences have been using it as an attractant.

Anyway, this is moving off topic… (maybe I should split the threads)

There could be many reasons why I am not approached any more. It could be just the intimidating effect. I can imagine, if I would approach gay men while wearing androstenone, I would be perceived as even more attractive. I don’t intend to try it however.

My theory is that androstenone makes me more alpha and alpha males are expected to do the approach - maybe this is also true in the gay world? I don’t really know.

Oh, and then there is of cause the idea that the effect of the pheromones on myself make me actually dance more like a heterosexual.
