One of my friend said that her dad was so smelly and asked me any good idea to let him know and get rid of his bad odors. That is a difficult task! I remembered my father. His body, feet and hair smelled pretty bad…
Anyway, her Father’s Day gift should be something related with body odors. I searched online and found interesting T-shirts and socks at www, bluebreeze,us (commas are periods), which are supposed to eliminate body odors. I do not like deodorants because I heard about all the bad effects of deodorants and antiperspirants. So it sounds good to remove body odors by just wearing a T-shirt.
My question: does anyone know if this stuff works?
Probably.
https://www.bluebreeze.us/default.asp is a pretty new company. I couldn’t connect with what their technology is. All I found on them is couple of press releases. The most common technology is carbon based. This fabric catalog, SCENT LOCK ODOR ELIMINATING FABRIC descibes it pretty well. Scent Lok (Scent-Lok): industry leader in scent-eliminating apparel. is widely available in hunting clothes. It’s been commercially available for almost 10 years. This one is more or less representative. Scent-Lok - Classic Clothing
At this point, there are 6 different technologies in fabric odor suppression. 2 of them are carbon based. These are based on odor adsorption. 4 are silver based technologies. These are anti-microbial. This is one the first areas where nanotechnology is being commercialized.
A Scent Lok jacket is $100 and a pair of Bluebreeze socks is $23. None of this stuff is cheap. Yet.
I’ve been tracking these technologies as a part of my signal to noise theory of scent signatures.
Wow
Great search!
Thank you for interesting information.
Scent Lok looked interesting also. I may be able to buy a pair of socks though both Scent Lok and Blue Breeze are expensive…:o
Duluth Trading company has some too-

I think people who have unusually bad body odor all the time yet bath frequently, probably have something wrong with them health-wise. Maybe nothing serious, but something upsetting the pH of the skin such that an unusual flora of bacteria and yeasts live on them, or something unusual with their metabolism that causes something abnormal to be thrown out in their sweat.
A regular fragrance or bodycare product is probably not going to do anything.
Xev, there are a few of these ‘odorous’ people who do have dermatological problems. As you suspected, it has to do with microflora blooms.
For the vast majority of people with odor problems it is about diet and digestion. Specifically meat, eggs, and dairy products seem to cause the most problems. First they eat large quantities of the stuff, often in an unbalanced diet. Then they have digestive problems with specific substances. (milk/lactose intolerance is very common) Then, on top of all that their gut is impacted, choked and it takes a loooong time for this partialy digested mess to pass. Meanwhile, without complete digestion the process turns to putrification. Anerobic (without oxygen) decomposition as usual generates alot of sulphur compounds that stink. In this case they find their way out into the bloodstream and the body dumps them as waste any way it can, including sweat, which of course has a terrible stink.
I’ve got a file on this as part of the signal to noise project. I gotta get around to posting some of this stuff.
BTW: I’ve been thinking about a colin cleanse (top down, no high colonics, thank you) to try to lower my olfactory noise level. And maybe lose a few pounds in love handles. Does anybody know anything abot this stuff?

oohyahhh, I cleanse seasonlly (I love the feeling). I have tried a few out, Oxypowder works Best for me… I def recommend it, it really cleans you out without bulking you up (it uses Oxygen instead of bulkers like Psyllium). With Oxypowder I always loose 1-2 inches around the middle… My bf just tried this last month and he lost like 5 inches around the belly (Hes chubby though).. I hope this helps. I generally plow through 1 Bottle to get the entire cleanse.
This is really good stuff! Combines the wicking technolgy with the anti-microbial. That doesn’t always happen. It’s 64% cotton blend and alot these are majority synthetic. And the price is right with a t-shirt at $15.50 and socks at $10.50!
Best deal I’ve seen anywhere.
