On the endangered list

We might still be able to get the originals in the US since it’s an EU ruling.

Ah, but quite a few (i hesitate to say most) of the major fragrance houses are based in europe, so they wouldn’t make two sets of the same fragrance. At least, that would be highly unlikely. However, you are correct, its possible these ingredients could be used in a US based fragrance house… however, they have they shut down quite a large international sales market, so i doubt there will be toooo many new fragrances coming out until they find a loophole to sneak through.

Also a lot of those don’t contain oakmoss.

The IFRA 43rd Amendment also includes jasmin absolute as one of the more restricted chemicals being added to fragrances, as well as heavier restrictions on several others. Here is the amendment if you’d like to take a look:

But yes, all those fragrances WILL be reformulated or put out to pasture. :frowning: Wish it wasn’t so, but thems the breaks.

You know it’s funny, I can’t stand jasmine notes in perfumes, but as I was driving through the country the other day I passed a jasmine field and boy was it a beautiful scent.

Most of my favourites are on the list.
Do u guys know when this regulation go in to effect? From now on or when?

I believe its fully in effect beginning early (feb or march) next year, but reformulations will begin well before then.

Can you cite this?

A lot of those, again, do not contain oakmoss.
