Ralph lauren blue… is that the Polo Blue?

:frowning: There are a few of my favorites on that list. :frowning:

Bella

Nope, those are two different fragrances.

That’s why i decided to throw this list out here. In case some people particularly loved one of these fragrances and would care to stockpile it in the near future. The more you know, the more you can prepare. :o

Oooohhhh Nooooooo !!!

Not Dirty English!

This world is going to hell in a handcart.

Speaking of endangered, Feel Good, where is Fluffy?

Is oakmoss endangered now or something?

No they decided to regulate fungus now LOL

Hopefully not the kind on feet! :open_mouth:

Oakmoss is being regulated because it can be an irritant for some people. What we’re hoping for is a rather simple solution to this problem, where the fragrance bottles with oakmoss in them will have a little warning that says “do no apply to skin.”

Why, Where’s Fluffy is the rarest show on earth! You must find the clues and figure out where they’ll be if you wanna listen. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t understand how perfumes are any different from any number of other European products. Say wine, for example. Some people can’t drink wine because they are sensitive to tannins or sulfates, or because they have health issues that don’t allow them to drink alcohol, or because they don’t produce enough alcohol dehydrogenase, or whatever. Cheese sickens people who are lactose intolerant. Is the EU going to ban wine and cheese production?

The point the EU is making is that fragrances are a beauty product with no real health benefits whatsoever. So they consider it to be an area where any risk is unacceptable, whereas wine, milk, and cheese all can be beneficial to non-allergic people’s health.

Don’t get me wrong, i’m not supporting this, just letting everyone know whats going on.

Then they shouldnt make them discontinue them, they should just have them write “contains Oak Moss” on the packaging like every other company does when using something that can cause a reaction. Eventually it will trickle this way. It already has with AMMO which is why they discontinued selling it in AMMO scent and changed to Game scent.

Its ridiculous really.

Tisha

Lol…I found Fluffy… …they’re gonna be at The White House Easter Egg Roll tomorrow.

Bella

Hmmm, maybe this belongs in the “Tisha is so awesome” thread  (she influences the inner council of the EU frgrance board), but I just got a new jug of Green Valley and over the old ingredients list (Water, sd-40, frgrance) there was a new sticker listing several chemical names along with coumarin and limonene. No warning just a list.

All of my favs are on that list..

that makes me mad that they are banning them
i mean common they sell energy drinks, and 5 hour energy to kids, that OD on them and have their heart explode! (ok maybe not explode) but they gota go hospital get stomach pumped and what not.
cigarettes second hand smoke kills people, their not banned lol

and we are talking about oak moss… that can irritate some people  wow…
hmmm
might need get a few of these to try out before they are gone, then again might not wanna get hooked on something that wont be around lol

That’s too bad. Oakmoss is a key note in the fougere genre.

What is this EU fragrance board renny?

ps - they are very likely just going to reformulate all these if anything. There is no way that the major fragrance corps would let their best sellers die just like that.

Well, yes, of course they won’t let some of these outstanding scents (and money makers) to just die out. So they WILL reformulate them, but that’s never going to be the same, you know? Real ingredients are just the best, sometimes. Now, it may turn out some of these reformulations will be liked even more than the original, but if you’re super hooked on one as is right now, may be best to get an extra bottle and throw it into a fridge for storage.
