So I met a 40ish woman to discuss some consulting work she offers. On the top of my head I put one spray Instant Openness and one spray Instant Honesty (both regular to-gos). Had a shot of TUTH and a shot of 2X Instant Shine at the throat. but we never got physically close enough for that to make much of an effect.
We met in a wine bar in a very sophisticated town south of San Francisco - a very classy place, a glass of wine was $15. Oriental rugs on the floor, big easy chairs, fireplace, etc, hoity-tottie elitist clientele.
We chatted for hours seated in the middle of the room. She would go on about her sexual experiences and attitudes that frankly embarrassed me since everyone around us could overhear her. We got a bunch of looks, let me tell you! I share the blame for not steering the conversation to somewhere suitable for public consumption.
In a more private venue, this would have been OK but we probably shouldn’t have subjected the other clients to this much blunt detail.
If I may offer a bit of unsolicited female-perspective advice: assuming you still want to see her again, (1) make sure you wait a few days before calling her and (2) when you do call her, suggest a date in a very unthreatening place like a bowling alley, ice-skating rink, or ice cream shop-- and this time make sure you skip the Instant Honesty!
I say this because, assuming she’s a classy dame, she’s probably super embarrassed about revealing so much-- and is afraid you’ll think she’s a slut. By waiting a little while and then bringing her somewhere nonthreatening, you’ll show her that you’re not just trying to bed her. That will make her feel better about seeing you again.
Conversely, though, if you discover that this kind of language and style of conversation is her usual M.O., cut her loose ASAP!
It wasn’t a date but I was interested our getting to know each other better and in hearing her story. My intentions were social, intellectual, and maybe business. Maybe this was her real story as she saw it and maybe I’m just a bit old fashioned and over-decorous. She seemed cool with it all so maybe it wasn’t the pheromones.
You really shouldn’t care what other people think and if they’re looking. It’s you, you, and you. Honestly, if you’re out on a date you should have tunnel vision that only focuses on her and not care what others think. However, you should know where to draw the line.
Maybe she enjoyed the shock value she imparted. I’ve known several women whom did such things all the time–even in friggen packed elevators! Overly sexual conversations, too much boobage, missing panties, too touchy-feely, etc. It’s just a show for them. Whatever rocks her boat I say. I’m too old to care what the neighboring tables think unless it gets to the point the manager asks you to leave.
However I have to say it’s probably just her, not the IH. At least she didn’t grab your nuts under the table. That’s always a surprise.
^lol gay, you should tell everyone what was so embarrasing in the first place.
Umm honestly i don’t know anyone that would be embarrased by a sexy person of the opposite sex speaking freely, well maybe if you were at church lol. Anyways nice hit.
The only reason, whether you chose to believe it or not. Was because in the back of your head and hers, you both were thinking the same thing. This situation would have never occurred if you had resisted the same thoughts she was having. Sorry, but it’s not entirely hers or the pheromones fault, but yours as well.
^well put my man lol
anyways everyone wanted to know what the hell your conversation was about and you acted like it was so embarrasing to explain, sounds like a good hit you had, but its teasing when you cant elaborate. Whether it was partly you to blame or her or the pheros, you should at least explain the whole entire situation for others read. For me and im guessing some others, we were all thinking to ourselves, “hmm, what exactly were they talking about that made him embarrased?” Im still wondering lol… anyways there’s my original contribution for you and the rest of the members of the site.
Sorry, I consider this forum as a somewhat public place so you’ll just have to imagine the content of our conversation. Of course, if you knew you might not consider it so improper.
Yet if I ran into some of the people nearby again (and I might) it would be plausible for them to remember it - I don’t think it would help my reputation. The place had professors, venture capitalists, and other business people as customers who I might want to business with - including attractive women I might like to meet someday.
Reputation is important. I’m in a position of high trust in a very visible and controversial industry. My writings have some influence in industry and in the halls of government. I proposed a bill that the state legislature passed but the governor vetoed last Fall. I appeared on Fox the other day and in the New York Times a year ago. I’m on various political committees for candidates in the 2010 elections.
No brag - just the result of a lifetime of hard work.
My advice to you younger guys is work to develop and protect your reputation if you have any ambition in life.
now that was well said my man,
I understand where your coming from now, not wanting to let all the details out of the bag could possibly save you from tarnishing your reputation in your future. I completely understand now, thanks.
In honesty. I missed that portion in your first post. To go ahead and promote a personal attack on a forum is rather childish. Nobody in the world is perfect. Settle down.
I certainly agree with Whitey, us young blokes have to protect and enhance our solid reputations. Hmmmm better be good boys, or do it in the dark, dancing that is lol, yea discression is the key word probably.
