I recently purchased some oud oil from orriscent, but was wondering about the attar either from there or any other sites you might be more acquainted with. Attar just seems like a much cheaper alternative for the every day. Of course I know that there is no comparrison between the pure oud, but what are your opinions on it? Is it a good scent on its own to cover your pheros with or would you say it is much weaker? Also, oud is such a captivating scent, is the attar captivating as well?
Attars are mixed with sandalwood and are very captivating.
An affordable attar will generally smell far better than an inexpensive pure oil. Especially with ouds. Good oud is never cheap. Many expensive ouds aren’t that great, either, because a lot of people sell bad oils at high prices. You should get samples first.

I purchased the sample package from orriscent because from the reading I’ve made the two best reccomended are orriscent and QT store which is often reffered to by the seller’s name I can’t recall right now. Would you have any reccomendations on a good place to purchase high quality oud? I don’t mind paying for high quality oud, but this is why I also wanted an alternative for the every day. I think I might take your word and buy a bit of the attar.

Haha I know, but I just couldn’t resist the temptation after reading such great things about oud. Also, that would be the reason I want oud, it just seems like the perfect cover for unscented pheromones. Also, I feel A314 could go very well with oud as well since it is so lightly sented.
I sometimes use oud, an attar, or a homemade mix strong on sandalwood and oud for cover of some unscented A314 that was produced by mistake a while back. It’s a bit more of a clash with some of the scents that have been intentionally put into regular A314. A few folks here continue to lobby for the release of an unscented A314, as it would enable the user to use cover scents that, while great in effect, may not be commercially viable for Androtics to market.
Have you come across JN OILS. I have dealt with them before I got the Red musk a few months back, really Intense stuff! I have seen that they sell Agarwood/Oud on their website but I find Oud a little too strong for me. I must admit their stuff is expensive.
