Scents for Men and Women

I have been getting some questions on EO’s and good cover scents from both the men and women. Now I consider Carrie more of a expert in this area but I am a expert shopper (snort) so I figured I would let one of my secret shopping spots out so everyone who is interested can enjoy the products.

Of course one of the most popular with the ladies here and some of the men is Love Potions. Introduced to us by a former forum member we all love. Some of the EO blends are suggestions from the forum members here.

They have 2 new pheromone blends made with Androtics pheromones for the men and EOW for the women. Once they are gone there is no guarantee they will be back. Just to be clear they are not a pheromone store they Just tried this out on the request of a forum member. They specialize mainly in EO blends made with the mystical properties of each ingredient in mind. They smell fantastic, Are great covers for pheromones, unique, and a good reliable store.

They also have quite a few mens scents that are just delicious.

Love Potion Magickal Perfumerie

The next place I love to shop for scents is Magicalomaha

Another good reliable store, good prices to. This is more like a little mall for etailers they sell products for alot of the companies and you can get them all in one order so you dont have to have a million orders out at different etailers on the net at once.

Beautiful Fragrances, Bath and Body

Look in each little store, they have scents for both men and women in all of them just about. I have ordered from all of them at some point so if you have any questions just ask.

I will mention a few of my favorites

Darkly scented Aracana oils. They have alot of good scents.

Here is one just for you Steveo

Filthy Viking is great to

Nocturne Alchemy

They have some really nice scents here. Spicy and exotic.

Cremoso has one for the men called “Howling forever” Its great my BMF wears it.

SEXY PHEROMONE OILS

I have them all and they smell very nice but on a phermonal level are very weak. Still fun to play with though.

Got to mention one of my favorite soap store “Super Bad” You will see it fantastic.

Anyway this should keep the scent challenged busy for a while. These scents are all unique and attract attention because they smell good and are so unique. This is a good way to make them take a big wiff of ya so they can get hit with all those nice androtic pheromones

OK people go out there and smell good

Tisha

Just so everyone knows I dont get anything for posting these. I am just sharing my addiction.

Great leads, Tisha.

As with the pheromones, I often prefer “rolling my own” scents. Lately I’ve been getting raw ingredients like ouds, sandalwood, musk, ambergris, etc. This is a good place, and has some interesting atars also.

eBay Store - Aloeswood: Agarwood, Sandalwood oil, Gaharu

I’ve done business with them several times and have always been pleased.

Right now I have an order for raw ingredients in at another place. Some Iso-E-Super, Dimethyl Hydroquinone, and Coumarin. I’ve never done business with them before though so I’ll see how the order turns out before mentioning the place here.

Oh Yay I love sharing shopping secrets LOL Thanks I will have a look.

Which of his ouds have you liked, Gone? I bought his cheaper Indian one a while back and while everything about the business interaction was great, the scent of that particular oud is not what I’m looking - I like the really dark, somewhat sweet ones, I’ve found - can you recommend any had fit that description?

Two places I can recommend for aromachems in small quantities are PerfumerApprentice.com (I’ve ordered there many times, excellent service) and thegoodscentscompany.com (my perfume study group cohorts have ordered there many times).

Thanks for the tips Carrie, I checked out the goodscentcompany and they have a amazing selection and fantastic info.

When you order from there are they pretty good about calling you for your payment info. I would probably use a check because I feel uneasy giving my CC out on the phone even if I expect them to call.

I have been into aromatherapy for a while now but I basically make more bath products and home scents and would like to move more into making perfumes.

Do you have a favorite mix of EO’s ?

Tisha

Looking through my stash the ouds from that supplier are actually atars - Oud/sandalwood mixes. I like both the Malaysian agarwood atar and the Cambodian dark agarwood atar. Both are dark. I’ve got some pure ouds from Oriscent. You may want to try them also.

As for the lighter ouds you don’t care for straight, how about a mix? Dilute them down with sandalwood, perhaps a touch of an ambergris oil, and maybe a dab of floral for a hint of sweetness. If they’re still laying around why not give it a try?

Good to know. PerfumerApprentice.com was the mystery merchant I mentioned in my post above, with whom my order is not yet complete. I’m pleased to hear that they have treated you well.

I haven’t ordered myself from TGSC but I hear they do call you. Since they don’t know you yet, if you’re ordering chems Bill will probably want to make sure you know what you’re doing (safety issues and so forth). You could tell him about your background in aromatherapy and you could mention that you were referring by someone in the Perfumemaking group - he won’t know my name since I haven’t ordered from him directly, just through group buys that the group has done.

I’d worked with aromatherapy for a long while too before I got interested in perfumery. For the last year or two I’ve been buying and studying mainly synthetics; I’m not currently as focused on EOs but love blending things like sandalwood, cedar, labdanum resin, frankincense, jasmine and orange blossom absolutes, champaca CO2 … it’s endless

My favorite supplier for EOs is Eden Botanicals. Lately I’ve been making some bath stuff too and tried a few suppliers for fragrance oils - dupes and such - and have been impressed with Daystar - their dupes are fantastic and strong.
