I have been experimenting with P81 on and off for about a year and a half now. I haven’t written much about it because, frankly, I did not much like it at first. Here is one of my early observations:
P81 and aggression
I have been experimenting recently with P81 in the 20-40mcg range. Elsewhere I have used P81 at 2.5mcg to add a bit of focus & depth to a softer formula, but a more complete dose of P81 used alone or with other pheromones has a very different and profound effect on one’s personality and perceptions. It creates a big picture, whole body, sense-of-flow experience. Some pheromones will encourage a person to look at faces or tune into sensual warmth. P81, by contrast, encourages me to look at how another’s body as a whole moves through three dimensional space, how it flows. It can give me a sense of being a predator. I feel like a tiger stalking its prey.
Much interest in pheromones is focused on the social or the sexual, but that is only a small part of what is possible. I believe P81’s main thrust is more competitive, even dominating, than loving. In one thread, Six and I had the following exchange:
I suspect the best uses of P81 might be in the field of atheletic competition, perhaps even video gaming. On the sports thread I wrote:
Consistent with the video gamer’s experience, I find that P81 used at doses of 10mcg or higher makes me very irritable and impatient. There are other pheromones, which mixed with P81, eliminate the irritability and impulsiveness. So far, I have discovered that P75, P82 and P89 work well in this regard.
Is P81 Instant Viagra?
Ladyofthewoods began a thread where she holds out great hope for P81’s ability to make men horny. As of this writing, she has received her P81 but hasn’t had the opportunity to do the test. But I’m gonna tell you what I found. I believe the rumor began with this post:
So far I am not aware of any follow up on this by Jayarea. Snoopyace confirms an Instant Viagra effect with a P81, P75 combination.
Catlord and I have not had experiences with P81 that would have us attribute causality to P81 for spontaneous erections, though we do seem to agree that wearing P81 is not incompatible with arousal. I, also, do not find this effect with a P81, P83 combination or a P81, P75 combination. I am sure, however, that all returns are not yet in.
Here’s what I think may be happening. Let’s pretend we’re in a strip club. The second reason for that is to make a point about P81 by imagining the undulations of an experienced pole dancer, not the herky-jerky contortions of Ms. Speedfreak on amateur night, but the full body swaying of a lady with a couple of years experience, who has learned how to get the most sensuality from a few efficient moves. In explicating Bioenergetics, Alexander Lowen compared human sexual function with a violin string. These smooth movements of the major muscle groups are what P81 seems to tune our perceptions to. The cowen without exotic dance experience are, in the presence of P81, still perceived with heightened awareness of whatever graceful sway their gait beholds. Those men with sufficient youth or pent up libido might very understandably experience the aforementioned physiological response.
Another aspect of the inquiry is that different people’s sexuality is mixed with differing amounts of aggression. P81 is a pretty aggressive pheromone. In multiple posts, within the context of evolutionary psychology, Michael Harris has written some of the better descriptions of the androsteNone vs. the androsteRone man. I should think that P81 is closer to androsteNone sexuality.
My further experiments with P81 mixes have had some success. Combining P81 with P82 does definitely seem to lower the arousal threshold for myself. Here are my findings in table form:
P81 alone - no effect, irritable
P81 with P75 - no effect
P81 with P83 - no effect
P81 with P89 - no effect
P81 with P98 - no effect
P81 with P82 - some effect
P81, P82, P83 - similar to P81 & P82
P81, P82, P98 - less effect than P81 & P82
P81, P82, P83, P98 - Strongest effect!
I don’t know if these results will stand the test of time, but these are the self-effects I have experienced over the past couple of weeks, since the infamous Ladyofthewoods thread.
Mixes using P81[
I have found that about 8.3mcg P81 in the mid afternoon gives me the little boost I sometimes need about then. More than that causes irritability.
To feel the full effects of P81 I have found that about 20mcg is needed. For this reason I expect P81 is going to be most useful mixed with other pheromones. I have found several which balance it and remove the irritability.
Tacitus wrote about P81 and P89 three years ago:
When I read Tacitus’ report, I knew it wasn’t the irritating P81 that caused the “old settled relationship mode” so ( P89 and P81, An Observation ) .
Having had the opportunity to use P81 and P89 together, however, I am amazed at how well they balance each other. P89 removes the irritability from P81. P81 energizes P89 in a way that maintains the improved focus but without the sense of tunnel vision. I was actually surprised at how my peripheral vision seemed enhanced in a manner that allowed me to work as a team with all the people, all around me, all at once.
I found that people were helpful and cheerful. It seemed to work well with A314, but even without the A314 I was unusually confident and effective with people. I was continually surprised at how unflappable I was. I expected to be irritable from the P81, but quite to the contrary, I constantly missed opportunities to become annoyed. Unlike P81 alone, it definitely had a sense of humor.
So far, it seems equal amounts of P81 and P89 work best together. I want to try a number of different applications based on a mix of P81 and P89. Other combinations that seem to have potential are P81 with P75 and P81 with P82.
