Super quick late hit report.
Wore IBF, went on another date with QEG. A friend called her while we were driving and I heard her say, “I’m on a date with jayarea.” Milestone: using the word “date” to her friends, in front of me. That’s a nice progression.
We got a little tipsy before dinner and somehow the conversation got onto the topic of her “girlfriend.” I forgot what exactly I said but it was something like, “I never would’ve believed I’d be having dinner with a beautiful lesbian.” I wasn’t exactly prepared myself to use the word “lesbian” but the alcohol made it slip. I did mean that sentence as a compliment though. She took it in stride, chuckled a bit, and we moved on to dinner. Milestone: me using the word “lesbian” in direct reference to her, for the first time. To the best of my knowledge, she has not called herself a lesbian before.
Later, again in the car, I teased her about something and she playfully (actually, this time) smacked me. She smacked me again and said, “That’s for calling me a lesbian earlier.”
Now, let’s process this. I see this as meaning she does not think of herself as a lesbian. Yes, she goes on dates with her “girlfriend” (that’s why it’s in quotes) but somehow, I’m still around.
Let’s process this further. Exactly one week ago, she was half naked in my bed - granted, with a bit of distance between us. She’s never called herself a lesbian, she playfully hit me for calling her a lesbian, and she’s been in my bed.
Could this be the go-ahead I’ve been waiting for to step up my romances with her?
We’ll find out.
Back to the car, after the smacks. She said, “But you smacked my ass that one morning when I was on your bed, so we’re even.” I replied, “Yes, and that was the best thing I did all week.” I was driving so I couldn’t really gauge her reaction but just like when I smacked her ass, she didn’t seem to respond in a good or bad way.
Chip away.
