Pheromones and Manipulation

I’ve been experimenting with Instant Sexiness with some positive results. A man applying female pheromones wouldn’t be “enhancing what is already there.” Wouldn’t that be more of a biochemical lie?

Umm… Instant Sexiness makes you grow breasts and dress in women’s clothing?
It makes straight guys desire you as a woman?
I don’t think so. LOL

From my understanding female pheromones on males usually tends to tone down the aggressive or masculine vibe
OR gives the psychological appearance that you’ve just had sex.
So in this sense, it’s turning down, rather than enhancing “what’s already there”
OR in the case of making you appear to just have had sex, the same effect could be obtained by walking around with lipstick on your collar and the scent of a woman’s perfume on your shirt.

“It would be interesting to do a pheromone version of MK-ULTRA. Would dousing homless people with Instant Gentleman be more effective than those government run “welfare to work” programs?”

Okay now that’s just giving pheromones far too much credit. LOL
Although, as an ex-cop, I have met ‘homeless people’ who I still found quite charming, friendly and humorous of whom I was quite tempted to take home and give them a meal and a place to shower and a bed to sleep on. I don’t think it was due to pheromones. More because of their personality and my human compassion/sympathy.

NLP however, I’d have to admit I’ve used pheromones in conjunction with NLP with a degree of success, but NLP is a form of verbal persuasion and still doesn’t necessarily make someone do something they explicitly refused to do, although much hype has been used in ads to imply that effect.

I’m going to do a complete flip flop and say yes, pheromones could be considered a form of manipulation.

We manipulate and persuade each other in varying degrees everyday with and without pheromones.

When your buddy convinces you to call in sick to work and go to the ballgame with him instead is manipulation/persuasion.

When a salesperson convinces you something is a good deal when you hadn’t intended on buying anything, you’ve been manipulated/persuaded.

Someone’s post in this forum that changes your opinion of something is manipulation/persuasion.

When you speak nicely to your boss or of your boss to someone else, even though you hate his guts is a form of manipulation.

When you smile and say everything’s okay, when you are actually upset is a form of manipulation or persuasion.

Pheromones are no more manipulative than wearing make-up to make yourself look younger or make you appear more attractive.
No more manipulative than putting on a business suit to appear more professional.
No more manipulative than someone trying to appear more self confident in front of other people.

There are dozens of posts here and on other forums, where people have used pheromones, but did not get the responses they were hoping for and the reasons why they didn’t work are just as numerous.

If pheromones worked the exact same way everytime for every person then I would have to say yes, it’s outright manipulation, but sadly no. There’s the personal factor of who is using them to consider when using pheromones.
