Would using mones & drinking caffeine have higher effect on the brain for using up your neurotransmitters? After a horrid experience of being sick for 2 days, it got me wondering. I drank all black coffee for couple of days while using mones. After the next day or two it felt as if I were drunk or on roofies. It was horrible. I am finally recovered now, thank god! I am still drinking black coffee & feel fine. Except the upset stomach I get & going to the bathroom. But this is only due that my stomach was empty from not eating as much when I’m sick. I am better now eating whole solid food. I only drink coffee 2-3 times a week to help me stay awake at work. I drink about a mug (2 cups). I still haven’t used mones since. I am afraid too & no reason too yet
Anyway, after thinking since black coffee does stimulate my brain more better than energy drinks, which causes more neurotransmitter to fire plus taking mones, wouldn’t this lead to the drunk effect I had next couple of days later?
No. depletion of your neurotransmitters doesn’t cause a feeling of drunkenness or stomach issues. It causes a feeling of being run down, tired and mood swings.
Again I feel you had some sort of virus. Using pheromones when your sick can make that sickness feel more intense but the sickness is not caused by the mones or an interaction and once your mones wear off which is in 4 to 6 hours that intensity would stop.
Ingesting caffeine on the other hand is not a good thing especially when ill. When I mentioned getting lots of fluids I meant water or juice LOL. Although some teas have caffeine in them even that’s preferred over coffee when sick.
I don’t feel you should be afraid of the mones but I do think you should wait till your fully recovered before using them again.
Well, as someone who likes his coffee and likes it strong, I can say that pheros and caffeine is a double edged sword.
In the short term, yes it can help compound any self effects slightly in a positive way but in the longer term, too much caffeine can contribute to the down/drained/rough at the edges feeling you can get from certain pheros after prolonged exposure.
However, your symptoms are far more severe than anything I’ve ever had and TBH, I agree with Tisha - it sounds much more like you have been floored by a short term bug. Have a look at Norovirus (AKA Winter Vomiting Virus or the “Sushi Shits”), its a very common one that can produce a lot of the sort of symptoms you describe, including a strange detached/spaced-out feeling when you are coming out of a bout.
Strong coffee can also make you feel a bit queasy sometimes if you are not a regular drinker or have taken a break.
The stomach issue was due to a bug or protein supplement I purchased. But during when I was sick my head was really heavy & felt like it got hit by a truck. Something had to been the cause of this?? Sorry if I sound like I repeat myself. I haven’t felt like that in a while. It was weird. I don’t think a bug could cause me my head to go haywire. Again I am not blaming the mones. Possibly a mixture of caffeine with the mones? Never know…
I think there could be a connection with mone depletion & caffeine. I am not disagreeing with tisha. It could possibly add up? High amounts of caffeine + high mones = brain
But it will remain a mystery. I will see if coffee & mones can lead my head to go blah. If that doesn’t work, then it was the bug all along.
This kind of feeling is also very common with Norovirus - “Hits like a train - and steams away just as quick” is how I’ve often described it before.
Depending on the severity/type of virus (it mutates easily)/method of ingestion, bouts can often last in the 24-48hr range with a bad one maybe lasting up to four days, after which you recover very fast. Time between exposure and symptoms starting can also be pretty short - often just a few hours (esp via food).
You mention a protein supplement - Are you training in a gym? Because that is an excellent place to catch it as it is reckoned to be most commonly spread by aerosol and breathing hard under exertion, coughing in warm/moisture laden air are great ways to create clouds of virus laden micro droplets. Diet is next, with seafood a particular risk, although it can contaminate other foods easily and lastly, transmission by contact is another factor as it can persist on surfaces, equipment etc for a short time.
Lastly, Norovirus also has one of the highest uptake rates, with (IIRC - UK figs) over 80% of people exposed developing symptoms to some degree, compare that with Flu which sits between 20-40% depending on virus type.
IIRC, the thing with caffeine in tea is that even though some teas have far more caffeine than coffee, most of it remains bound-up in the leaf after steeping, with only a small amount getting into in the brew, whilst with coffee its almost the opposite - Most of the caffeine disolves right out of the grounds.
if you need to stay awake for work, consider getting some modafinil (Provigil, Alertec, Modalert), which is an alertness-promoting medication used for narcolepsy. Also very useful the morning after a few beers if you need to be wide awake. I also use it if I have to drive a 4 hour + trip. The usual dose is 100mg. It is claimed that you need less sleep, and that you do not have to catch up on the sleep you have missed. I find that I DO have to catch up on the sleep missed. But it’s a great alertness-promoter when you need to be fully awake.
This is one of my favorite articles about it. I use it regularly, for me when used less than once every week or two, gives me a ‘time travel’ effect as well. On really really lousy days I’ll take one in the morning and before I know it I’ve done absurd amounts of work/stuff and it’s past my bedtime and I’m still going strong.
Actually, yes it could, but maybe not directly. A stomach bug (accompanied by the mad poops or tossing cookies) usually leaves a person drastically dehydrated. Coffee also dehydrates, so it sounds like you gave yourself a double whammy. Smart Water or Powerade are my secret weapons for bouncing back from a nasty sickness or a hangover. Both feel about the same.
Read that while I was eating gravy covered beef… don’t worry you didn’t spoil my appetite I actually had quite the laugh. And yes, electrolyte imbalance can really hinder mental processes .
