I got a question…why doesn’t anyone mass market pheromones?? As in why isn’t there any fragrance with pheromones in the market that is probably as well known as the CKs or the Bvlgaris or the YSLs? Infact, why don’t either of these guys create a pheromone based fragrance?
I know Jovan Andron used to exist in the 80s…why did they discontinue it?? It was widely accepted and considered as a sex magnet. I’m in India, so may have limited knowledge, are there any pheromone based fragrances available at store shelves in the US?
Actually there are quite a few
Paris Hilton
Marilyn Miglin
Realm
Just to name a few in the mainstream. There are many more and if you do a search you would find them.
A314 is based on Jovan Andron and its probably the best all around pheromone product on the market.
@steve- apparently, Parlux, the makers of Paris Hilton deny the presence of pheromones in their mix…neither does the list of ingredients mention it…did they advertise the fact that the fragrance had pheromones, or did they create viral buzz? I use A314, love the stuff…
@The Quiet Man- I guess you’re right…it should remain this way…low competition…i’m just curious though, why doesn’t a large designer or celebrity fragrance go out and advertise “we’ve got pheromones in our fragrance”…or do they??? I wouldn’t know…perfume makers don’t advertise too much on my side of the world anyways..
I have been on the self-development train for four years and I have tried everything under the sun. From the Q-Link to doing yoga 4 in the morning. Ask me, I’ve definitely done it.
I feel like pheromones are the product of all my trial and error and countless nights on the internet looking for something.
I FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING THAT WORKS!
I agree Quiet Man. I am always about sharing. I have ebooks and CDs I easily hand out to people.
But this pheromone ish right hurr? I am definitely keeping it to myself and I hope it never, ever gets mainstream.
Any site that lists Paris Hilton Perfume with pheromones has it very much indeed listed in the notes. It’s been rumored that Paris Hilton did some talking to some informed people who might have something to do with AD, but that’s just a rumor.
I’ve seen it listed in the ingredients for the men’s cologne too. Steeler Girl got it for me for X-Mas and told me how sexy it smelled, so when I found out it had pheros in it, I wasn’t all that surprised that it affected her in such a way.
Call me selfish but I want pheros kept under the radar as well. We have a competitive advantage knowing the powers of these wonderful products that the rest of the world doesn’t. Why anyone would want to throw that away is beyond me.
Lots of main stream companies use them. I think because pheromones are still a bit misunderstood and taboo to some people so they dont push the advertising on them when used mainstream.
Urban Decay uses it in there pocket rocket lip gloss.
Victoria Secret uses them in there booty call line
Dial uses it in there magnetic body wash line.
Got2be uses them in hair gels.
Of course Realm
and yes Paris Hilton as well. Just keep in mind they have little to do with the creating end of there formulas. They come in and sniff it tell the perfumer they hired what vibes they are looking for and he/she does all the work.
I have seen other items here and there. It will be some time before people understand pheromones and accept them. All of them are fun and some work to a certain extent but not as effectively as something designed to work as a pheromone.
I think products like those sold here at AD and those who learn to use them will always have a competitive edge in the market and as mone users because there main focus here is to sell pheromones not scents and other companies main focus is to sell something else.
Yeah, I guess it’s the taboo…the thought that pheromones perhaps have something to do with altering hormones…I guess it’s forums like pherotalk that help people like us come together and put up unlimited knowledge for this limited community…
Seems like evolution takes time, and in this case its social evolution
Thats why being here is so interesting, because I know at some point common people will be using pheromones even if they don’t know it and I’d like to be ahead of the curve.
I concur. If this stuff does work, I want my way with the market. Some people may even view the use of this stuff as unethical even though it really only brings what people want to the forefront. It merely bulldozes the social trappings that prevent people from acting upon their natural instincts.
If it Ever Goes MainStream I See One of Two Things…
1> It’s in Such Small Amounts that it’s Worthless…
2> Half the World is GHOSTED because they Didn’t Spot Test…
On the one hand, I can’t deny wanting to keep it to myself for the time being, but it’s too good of a technology to expect that it won’t go mainstream at some point.
You’d also have to hope/expect that sales of it would be regulated in some sense, in terms of who was allowed to buy it. I can say right now that if I had a daughter, I wouldn’t want her going to school and being bombarded by none every time a guy passes her in the hallway.
