I really dig having cases for things. I personally hate when things jingle on me. I went to a wilderness school where jingling meant pushups and I did I a lot of push ups. If I just put my pheros in a bag it would jingle and clink and clatter AND I still couldn’t find anything. I dug through my piles of props and found a disused gun case and stuffed all of my putatives in it… Who can’t help but feel like a badass opening this up?!
You are cracking me up! You have an ACTUAL arsenal!! You’ve won the Pherotalk Badass crown! How can we possibly follow, now that you’ve set the gold standard? Lol!
As you can see, I write the name of the product on top of the cap so I can see what I have without rummaging. That yellow plastic case is what I use if I want to bring multiple to-gos with me.
And you would be correct in noticing that’s not salsa in that salsa jar. It’s fermented ginger!
Refrigeration keeps evaporation to a minimum. With storage, the biggest concern is evaporation. The bottles are pretty well constructed, but there’s no gasket in the to-gos. And the pumps aren’t perfect. In general, if you can smell anything when sniffing the sealed bottle, that means there’s at least a little bit escaping. Lowering the temperature reduces the molecular movement, which reduces the rate of escape (same concept as keeping nail polish in the fridge, which prevents them drying up). There are other precautions that can be taken, such as reinforcing the threading, but I’m a little too lazy for that.
Storing them in a fridge is also one way to keep them away from light. Light can contribute to fragrance breakdown, depending on the fragrance.
You shouldn’t really need to shake it. It’s not a bad idea to do so if the bottle has been sitting for a while, just to make sure that the solution stays uniform, but it’s not really a concern.
For a second there I though that was the MX101 from futurist I heard so much about. My collection is way to big to take a picture…it just keep growing.
