For a little while, before I was familiar with them, Androtics sold a pheromone room diffuser using adapted Glade Plug-ins:

There are actually a few threads about this from a long time ago, which I found when I first joined the forum and attempted to read it from back to front. I can’t remember why they were discontinued, but it would be awesome to have something like that, and if you bought a high concentration of some molecule, you could probably make your own with a little tinkering.
Do not make your own - what we sell you contains alcohol, due to the process of creating your own candle this may put you at risk for fire.
I wasn’t suggesting they make a candle, as I’m aware of the volatility and flammability of perfumer’s alcohol. I was referring to the room diffuser. However, after doing a bit of reading, I found that such room diffusers typically use oil anyway, so you would probably need a pheromone oil rather than an alcohol, which would evaporate far too quickly and also possibly pose a fire risk. I have put the alcohol based pheromones on a lamp oil diffuser set to low, and found that worked well. The one I have is basically a glass plate set atop a glass “flower” with an incandescent bulb inside. When set to low, the radiant heat from the bulb warms the plate. Diffusion is still a bit too fast, but mixing the alcohol with the oils I put in the diffuser for scent seems to slow the diffusion significantly. I used to do this with TAF and sandalwood when I was studying, to help with concentration, and have also used Spaceland and a few less innocent mixes in this fashion. I’d say it’s fairly effective if done intelligently, and have never had a problem.
By the way, I said the diffuser Androtics put out used modified Glade plug-ins, but it used modified Oust fans, though it doesn’t make much of a difference, I suppose.
It was not economical for the amount of molecule needed. Those test units were sold at a huge loss and never showed merit to become a regular product.
I honestly don’t get the stupidity of some of these questions. Think what you may, but logically pheromones are a part of non-verbal communications that are produced by the body. Yes most are synthesized and some probably aren’t necessarily produced by humans. Wouldn’t just finding a good aroma therapy product be better? I just don’t get how people post useless crap that has nothing at all to do with the intended use of the product.
I wouldn’t necessarily consider it a stupid question or concept. It may not be the way the products are intended to be used, or the most efficient way of using them, but one of the points of this forum and Androtics’s products is research, experimenting with these molecules and finding out what we can and can’t do with them. Such an idea may not ultimately be effective or economically feasible, but if we restrict ourselves to specific ideas about what can or should be done with the products, we’ll never find out. Besides, the idea of a diffusion device of some sort apparently piqued enough interest that Androtics based a product on it for a short while, and there are several threads on the topic. Yes, they found that it wasn’t practical, but now we have that knowledge. Some people regularly use molecules like TAF and TAA for self-effects. I wouldn’t consider that non-verbal communication in the way it is normally defined for pheromones: chemical communication between two separate organisms. The body doesn’t need pheromones to communicate with itself. Instead, the user is artificially producing an effect that lies outside the realm of this narrow definition of pheromones. Nor were these molecules originally intended to be used for such effects. Initially, no one had any idea what they did or what they could be used for. So, I understand how this might frustrate you, P51, and a quick search probably would have answered their question, since pheromone candles have specifically been brought up before, but I would hate if one day, someone had a really amazing, novel idea, but didn’t bring it up because they were afraid it was stupid.
I completely get your points, and they are valid, but I think after some 10 odd years of research that AD has done, don’t you think that they would have thought about it already? Also some basic common sense is that if you burn a molecule, it destroys it, alters the makeup of that molecule.
I’m all for experimentation and helping someone out asking how to apply where to apply, and how much to apply a product, but the crap that’s posted here is a little stupid.
The molecule will almost certainly be destroyed. Also wax + alcohol in the wrong quantities will make like a napalm.
Well I have some pheromone candles and to tell you the truth they dont work for shit LOL I didnt make them I purchased them from another pheromone company as a test.
Its not the heat that damages the molecule its sunlight or fire. Heat just causes evaporation of diffusion. I think its the wax and flame. The wax holds the molecules from diffusion and the flame burns it. Heating and Burning are two different things. Heat is good, Flames are bad. Heated alcohol is not bad it just evaporates like in cooking but Alcohol close to a flame can be as John said like napalm. You would have to use raw crystallized pheromones and Dilute them in something non flammable to mix with wax but again you cant get around the flame part burning the molecules.
I think its a waste of good pheromones because pheromones are meant to convey something about you not your environment but there are other methods people use them. After all they are your pheromones you bought and paid for them. You can do what you want with them.

You seem a little cranky I agree the question belongs more in the lounge or Pheromone theory where the admin will eventually move it but its not a stupid question. You never know when someone may hit on a ideal that Androtics can use or they are interested in. While this forum is about testing and reporting its not why people are here. They are here because of the open caring community feeling. Take that away and this is just another store forum.
I look at it as the only stupid question is the one you are afraid to ask.
Androtics has explored this in a way just using a different more workable concept.
It works I have a few myself that I made from oust fans. Again its not good for every mix or pheromone. Mood altering mones like TAA or Ishine work well. So does IO but attraction mones not so much because they can not target the feeling to you. They may really like the wall your Oust is plugged into though and you may find all your guests crammed into one room LOL
Here are some other fun ways to use mones. Not saying they are effective or Androtics would be interested in doing them.

Its just annoying, you have newbies with questions on how to use it and they get like 1-2 replies and no one helps. But things like these get more attention. I was being cranky but I guess that’s just one of my pet peeves around here. I’m not all against other suggestions, things like using sephora atomizers, a to-go carrying case, like I’ve read in the past.
I also have to realize that I have a decent background in science and not everyone does.

Nevertheless, 90% of the questions are answered in the stickies or with 30 seconds of searching.

Speaking of wacky mone ideas, some of you may remember the LS mone pen, given to customers as a novelty. Supposedly the ink was impregnated with mones. I signed my promotion dossier with that pen. I doubt it helped but I was promoted to full professor. I imagined some horny committee member or admin off in the corner sniffing and licking my signature…
