This doesn’t happen often, but enough that it irritates the hell out of me and I think it’s very inconsiderate. Anyone else agree, or is it just me?
What I’m talking about is women who give out their phone numbers, and will actually give you their real number, then blow you off when you call by not answering the phone or returning a call.
I probably have this happen with about one out of five girls that give me their number. I’ll call a couple of days later and the phone will ring and go to voice mail. I leave a message saying I’ll call back later or they can call me and state my phone number, then I’ll call once more the next day and get voice mail again, I’ll leave one more message and then I will not call again. Yesterday I actually text messaged after the second call, and that was ignored too.
I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one that this happens too and I’m curious, guys would you rather have a girl answer the phone and tell you that she’s not interested or that she was drunk when she gave you her phone number, or whatever other reason she has for not wanting to talk to you. Or, would you rather have them just completely ignore you?
For any ladies that are reading this, I realize that some of you may defend this or feel that it’s ok, by saying that when the girl gave out her number she might have been drunk, in a different frame of mind, thought she might be interested then changed her mind, or only gave out her number because she didn’t want to say no, and that it’s easier to avoid talking to us than own up to having made a mistake in giving out her number.
But come on ladies, for us to get your attention we have to be strong, confident and prove our worthiness, and if we’ve jumped through those hoops and actually get to the point that you gave us your phone number, then you should at least have the courage to answer our call and tell us you’re not interested or that you made a mistake in giving out your phone number. Even a simple text message would suffice, saying something like; you’re sorry but made a mistake in giving out your phone number and are not interested.
If you can’t be courageous enough to face up to having made a mistake, then just give us a fake phone number to begin with, so we can avoid the game altogether.
So folks what do you think? rude and inconsiderate, or acceptable and easier than having to be told “She’s Just Not That Into You”
