I would say this i have smelt a few vaginal smells from women during after and before sex. They are very very distinctive They smell sweet in some ways it reminded me of the mixtures of smells you got in the old fashioned sweet shops when they used to do sweet making demonstrations but they also have this nice musky smell to them that once you have smelt it can stay with you for a little while. In order to best understand the smell you would have to look at the chemistry of the molecules to get a a closer smell as people can pick up different scents so to get their you would have to emulate the molecules and their behaviours to get the smell jsut right. I would however say they are deffinatley sweet and musky un healthy ones smell more like kippers to me. Hope this helps.
I think that sweet smell is more akin to honey than, say, vanilla… but more like bee bread or pollen from a bee hive than pure honey. The musk smell is very distinctive, not much like other musks. I think it has to do with one of the carboxylic acids… but it’s been so long since I had my hands on any chemicals, I can’t remember… erghhh!

Apalachicola oysters are one very close analogue, at least for brunettes.

Redheads and blonds can be more like oysters from the Pacific Northwest, a bit saltier and tangy-er. That said, a woman’s recent diet adds an overlay of smells and tastes. Garlic and asparagus are two well-known examples.
Did someone say that copulins are NOT a pheromone? If so then copulins are not the formula we seek, or at least only part of the answer. Women exude sexual pheromones through their skin and in their mouth and breath. Those can be very stimulating in themselves and are clearly different from copulins. Are there any non-copulin pheromones yet to capture that feminine communication?
hey Diane you just summed up the smell in one to me I new what it smelt like but had difficulty finding something to describe it to but I would have to agree with you the musk smell is like no other.

Holy Crap! I think I just went cross-eyed ![]()

There’s at least two kinds of musk too… roughly seems to be 50/50 what you’re going to get. One kind - smells slightly sweet, musky, and has an intoxicating. Not much of a taste, maybe slightly acidic or neutral.
The other kind? Stronger musk tones, less sweetness, not intoxicating per se, causes instant gag reflex when tasted (sorry for the indelicate way of putting it).
Got to be something in my genetic mix which causes that strong a reaction.
Thank you for all the work you put into your posting, Diane! You did some great research here. Most of this info I have, but it was still helpful. We’re getting there…
A problem with the current copulins products is that they are calibrated in neither intensity nor in composition. We certainly see that with EoW over time.
You are welcome, Michael. Us ladies are getting a bit desperate without a good source of cops. I hope it won’t be long. And I truly hope we can get a cops formula without other pheromones, steering molecules and scents thrown in.

The last Girlfriend I had remined me of the smell of a saddle after a long ride. Musky, tangy with some damp leaves mixed in
Um, don’t natural copulins get higher the more desperate the women get?
Similar to a guy using copulinis to raise his natural testosterone, can’t the ladies use andestronone or TUTH to raise their natural copulins?
so use a q-tip and dab some andestronone on the inside of your nostril and use the natural cops your body produces. ![]()
Uh, nope. Copulin production seems to be related to Estrogen levels in the body. This is why copulins are highest mid month when the level of this hormone is at its peak.
There hasn’t been any suggestion that I’ve seen in the literature that Androstenone (or any other male pheromone) raises Estrogen for a woman. Rather the reproductive hormones are pretty tightly controlled by the pituitary in both positive and negative feedback loops. Since the levels of Estrogen and Progesterone, and their attendant cycling is very specific for reproduction, anything that messed with that control would likely result in infertility. So, chances are there isn’t a naturally occurring pheromone that will change or mess with the hormone levels or ratios between the two in when a woman is exposed to it.
Androstenol has been shown to raise cortisol level, but that doesn’t correlate with Estrogen/Progesterone production in women. It is more likely for an anti-inflammatory effect that could aid in a successful pregnancy.

If by “desperate”, you mean once a month, or when we’re about to run out of eggs, then probably… But if you just mean “horny”, maybe not.
Women only require sex once a month to fulfill their body’s biological agenda, whereas guys require it every 10 minutes or so.
Two very different agendas, that meet somewhere in between.
You can study evolutionary psychology to gain a good understanding of how our thoughts and behaviors are driven by our over 100 trillion cells. What you consider to be “you” might not want to reproduce quite yet (you’re probably just after a good time!), but they do. ![]()
mmm then how do we explain Women’s cycles aligning when they start to live together - Generally this is to the Alpha Female’s cycle so I would argue that a TAL-like molecule might have an effect on a woman’s cycle.
(Assuming I am remembering correctly that TAL is the IS/A molecule)
My basis for pheremones being why female cycles sync is because it happens without the females knowing each others cycles… and from what I hear it happens very consistently.
Hard to describe. I assume all of the ones I have experienced were healthy. No negative affects yet. I describe the smell as a mild body oder. like when you forget to put on deoderant. I have noted hints of coconut to some but then again it could have been due to their profession.
If you were to incorporate the smell into a bottle it would be musky and have a slight hint of fruitiness. very subtle though.
Women’s cycles don’t just automatically align all at once. The phenomenon is real, but it is a gradual process that happens over an extended period of time. That gradual change is very different from what was suggested. And it is women to women, without pheromone input from males.
And that is very different from what was suggested.
Diane
But I imagine if a male was wearing female pheromones around women for an extended period of time his pheromones use might have an effect of some nature on her cycle?
There have been tons of suggestions on some very good books on evolution of the sexes from a sperm vs. egg viewpoint and their biological imperatives.
I think if you want a good grasp of the subject start with evolutionary biology and sexual imperatives.
Here’s a few suggestions to get you started:
The Sex Imperative: An Evolutionary Tale of Sexual Survivability by Kenneth Maxwell
- Sperm Wars: The Science of Sex *by Robin Baker
THE RED QUEEN Sex and the Evolution of Human Nature by Matt Ridley
THE EVOLUTION OF DESIRE Strategies of Human Mating by David M. Buss
