Any word on the stuff - release date, etc.?
im almost out of white cap A314 so im gonna order some A314 soon. What are the advantages of the “Royal” version over the regular?
Omg - last batch of A314 (Rev 17).
Best smelling, ever.
Its lightly scented with Akuto, and its musks throw that A314 aura farrr out there.
I trialled it the other day with a friend on the Sunset Strip.
There’s this really really really snooty cigar shop across from Chateau Marmont - members only! - that we went to because I was buying xmas presents for my pal Frank.
So I took my friend (we’ll call him Bob, because he’s super uptight about me writing about him here) Bob, anointed him with 3 drops of A314, and set about. I was thinking: perfect time for an A314 test - Bob was dressed sloppppishly, in a grubby tshirt and dirty jeans - and not even the “hip LA” kind of grubby way. Uncool point #1.
Uncool point #2: He’s a total cigar noob. We walked into the super exclusive cigar shop, and he LOOKS like a noob and everything. He’s naively asking “ooh what’s that? OMG is that illegal? OMG I didnt know you were allowed to do that!”. And I’m nervously looking around, thinking, “Wow, how can you be so unbelievably uncool in here…”
Jake, the guy at the counter, brushes some people out of the store. He then pops over to Bob as Bob fawns over the unlabeled, illicit Central American selection. I want to DIE as Bob asks “So what’s the best one for a newbie like me?”
And surprisingly, Jake went into extreme detail about everything - the country of origin, the type of buzz, why it’s unlabeled, etc… He was extremely generous for such a snooty place, and showed incredible levels of respect for someone so obviously (and forbiddenly!) out of place.
Makes me think…
You seriously don’t have to act congruent with A314 to get an effect.
Just have someone around to point out to you that people are pouring respect all over you, even if you’re wearing a grubby tshirt and yucky, baggy jeans.
WoW Jas great post!
the batch your referring to (rev 17) is that available now.It sounds really fantastic ![]()
i rarely dress up too much wearing A314. I find it tends to compensate for casual dress nicely .However, I do wear clothes that fit and I’m a sucker for Italian shoes ![]()
Guys, is there a way to tell which version/batch of A314 one has by looking at the label? With other products, it is fairly easy to do that. The only thing that remotely resembles a batch/code on my A314 label is 'MMVDB, and I don’t know what that means.
EDIT: Forgot to say that, I agree with that dressing up isn’t necessary with A314; I can get away with a few things more than usual even when I dress casually.
That’s REEEEAAAALLLLYYY sweet, Jas - but unfortunately I’m a non-smoker… ![]()
Jas, I had a bottle of the A314 that smelled like marijuana schwag and a bottle of the first release with Oud in it. The one that smelled like pot worked brilliantly with my chemistry. The Oud one worked quite a bit differently, and the scent got responses that ranged from impressed to “You smell like Nag Champa.” I really am not so interested in what it smells like, as I am the effects. Is this Royal A314 going to have a formula similar to or identical the pot smelling one? I really loved that batch.
You don’t have to smoke 'em to enjoy ‘em as a past president aptly demonstrated. Plus some men juz’ loves ta suk on 'em.
There used to be a fancy cigar bar here in Melbourne unfortunately closed down due to new (non-smoking) legislation.
Hahahahaha…I love it! Great report.
So… pardon my density, but “Rev 17”…is that:
a) the version that’s in the store currently?
b) a version that’s not yet available to the unwashed?
c) a gay Christian hair-pop duo from the 80s?
d) nun of the above?
Nope, that was a one-hit wonder band from 1982, Haircut 100.
God, why is it that I remember this ![]()
thats my question too!
We will have to wait for Jas to get back to us on this.
