So while I was clearing off some tables at work, I noticed a familiar smell.
It was NEROLI!
I went back to get some drink orders and I noticed it again coming from a table with a brunette on a date with a blondie.
It was hard to tell since there were a lot of ethnic smells stirring around, but I could tell it was coming from them (not sure if it was the guy or the girl).
I stopped by to refill their waters, and while I was there, I asked the female if she was wearing any perfume because it smelled like something I used to get from a company called Androtics. She seemed confused and then was like “Umm, I’m wearing a perfume, that’s it.”
“Oh? What is it?”, I asked.
“I can’t remember. Something cheap from um…Victoria’s Secret.”
Anyway…
It was funny. They both acted strangely.
Anywho…I reminded me that I haven’t been on in a while and that I needed to order more mones to test.
Haven’t had any in a while.
So while you’re here…has anyone else run into a potential user? And…what have I missed? Any new releases?
Most of us here are familiar with neroli from our pheromone products, but it is one of the most widely used oils in perfumery, so it is quite possible that you just caught a whiff of some other perfume that contains neroli. Then again, it could very well be a pheromone product. I certainly don’t want to decry you as wrong, just want to make sure people don’t get excited every time they smell neroli. One of my friends also has a lot of Victoria’s Secret scents, and I don’t recall a noticeable neroli scent in any of them.
VS pink has neroli in it as a middle note and you can smell it. Not exactly the same as the scent here of course but it will remind you of Androtics.
Vespero is right though, neroli is frequently used in cologne and perfume because it has great sillage. Most use it as a bottom note but VS pink uses it as a middle note so your more likely to pick up on it. Androtics uses it as a top note.
I think it would be hard to determine if someone was wearing pheromones by scent alone at least with the high quality products because of course they can wear neroli perfume and they are producing there own pheromones as well. That’s actually a good thing though because you dont want people picking up on the smell you want them to just go with the emotion.
