Science Student's Journal

Just wow, you are on fire !:Dyou must be glowing!! And it was was ALL YOU!

Returned (temporarily) from my summer whirlwind.

I’ve compared MXs 397, 398, 411, 412.

397 smells AWESOME (like faint Bubbalicious of some variety), and immediately lifts my mood, but does not have the same overall effects as IS/b (which lifts my mood in MANY ways  despite the fact that I really don’t like the Neroli). My 397 experience has been “quiet, younger, more studious sister of IS/b”. It’s OK. I want IS/b!

398 and 411 are in the Neroli-range. I can smell slight differences in Neroli products, I think due to the pheromones themselves. Nerolis all smell like someone mixed everything on the perfume counter. :frowning: 398 seems more the older, more severe step-sister of 397, not really related to IS/b. 411 didn’t really leave any impression on me, thus far. I am going to have to force myself to do more with 398 and 411, but I LOVE the scent of 397 so much, I don’t want to use anything else. oooh, I wonder, is it possible to get IS/b, IS, and IH, in that (Vanilla Grapefruit, I think).

412 smells like bug spray. (I hear it’s Akuto, and smells vastly different to others.) Instant mood ruiner, of all sorts, so I have to admit, I couldn’t give it a fair trial.

Hi ScienceStudent, great to know your still moderately active  missed your posts and updates!

Oh, I’m more active than it seem; I’ve just had computer issues and lots of trips and visitors. Lab work is picking up finally, and I’ll be taking a trip to visit the guy who came to visit me so I can meet his daughters and his best friend, too.

Thanks!

I AM here, and I AM still testing…just busy with research and living the fun, summer life, exploring town, trying to get stuff done before I leave for my trip to visit the SoCal guy.

I’ve been out of IS/b for a while, and wanted to reorder before I leave, but this trip, and my new glasses (and prescription sunglasses), right before the new term that will lead to the next installment of my stipend has left the funds a bit leaner than I like. I do have a bunch of MXs to play with, but I don’t really have lots of people to work on until school starts. (I have noticed I was only getting “all the free stuff” with IS/b and none of the new MXs.) Anyway, I’m sure this guy is plenty ‘hooked’.

I have returned from my SoCal trip

I used plastic pipettes (from my lab, shhh, don’t tell anyone) and made a 2:2:1 ToGo bottle of IS(2x):MX397:IH(2x) for the trip, and then used only 3 sprays a day (in the morning only) on chest/neck/forearms as I wasn’t sure it would last the 8 day trip otherwise. 80-90˚F or more every day, and a car with no air conditioning–you guess how long a single morning application lasted. I wish there was less scent in the sprays so it wouldn’t seem I was reapplying perfume every 4-6 hours–it would appear vain to do so.

I didn’t interact with too many strangers, although there were a couple grocery-store-workers (male) that chatted me up in front of my date (Jn). I realised later. I had fallen back into my former mode of thinking, the happy/laughing/joking person that I am, that I was just talking with other similar people. Jn didn’t say anything–idk what he thought. (Early afternoon, with 'mones app around 7am.)

His kids loved me (even if they were surly and bratty at times, but they are teenage girls, and they volunteered apologies afterwards.) The older daughter’s friend was helpful and wants to move into “my” house. :open_mouth: We went to his best friend’s place (Am), and Am gave me “run of the house” which Jn says Am never does, even for people Am’s known much longer. Am’s shy, standoffish 3-year-old daughter glommed onto me, which everyone said she never goes near strangers, but again that’s normal for me. (We didn’t even arrive until 3pm, long after the 7am application time.)

Jn only mentioned his late wife (of 10+ years, and adoptive mother of his biological children) once during the week, where it’s been once a day (on phone calls) before, usually in reference to something about his girls, like “I don’t know why she had the ‘no dating before 16’ rule.”

He loved the fact that I patched a pinhole in the radiator coolant hose with electrical tape and a clamp I bought at the gas station while he was using his smart phone to determine the ideal way to navigate around the four-lane tanker-truck freeway snarl so I would arrive at the the airport in time to get my boarding pass, as the printer hadn’t worked. (I just figured that was the most efficient distribution of tasks since I know nothing of the area. Many guys frown on my doing that sort of thing for some dumb reason.)

He’d said, a few weeks before, that he had “something to ask me, but it was better in person” but then ran out of time as he’d “intended to tell me in the airport, in some romantic gesture,” and we were late.

On the trip home, I got MVP service as the ticketing line was nil, and I was told to jump the boarding line since I’d checked my carry-on at the gate (for free!). Two guys chatted me up in the TSA “line” (I think there were two shoeless people in front of me when I walked up). This is my first recollection of anyone chatting me up in an obvious (even to me) flirtation. Of course this happened around 6pm, long after my 7am 'mones application.

Glad to have you back! Sounds like the mones are doing the business - in the way that now being aware of what mones you’re wearing; you’ve become aware of hits even when not wearing them - or just the faintest of traces of them.

So when are you seeing him again? Are you interested in doing so?

Depends when he can fly up–I’m tethered to classes until Dec 7th, and want to see fam for Thanksgiving, since I missed the last 4, and for Christmas since I missed the last one–idk about introducing him to them yet, although he said today he’s changing his (dating site) status, because he’s “not interested in pursuing a relationship with anyone else.” And I /thnk/ he was going to tell me he loved me /weeks/ ago. :open_mouth:

His frustration while driving and with his kids bother me–I’ll have to ask him about that.

Probably a MAJOR factor was that I was taking his daughter’s unused 36mg Concerta (extended-release ritalin) for my ADD (my scrip is for 27mg if I can ever manage to get it filled), instead of the stop-gap measure of Ritalin every 4 hours if I remember. I just felt so much more like ME!:cool:

P74

P74 (one spray, chest, along with my 3 sprays of 2(2x IS) : 1(2x IH) that I put in a ToGo bottle). Another 80˚+ breezeless day with low humidity. Yuk.

It smells worse than most Neroli ones, nauseating me, as it had before, perhaps exacerbated by eating granola* I knew would be bad for me and my interim ADD med of Ritalin which isn’t as effective as the Concerta I’ve had before, and have finally(!) successfully filled. (*I seem to have a food trigger that makes me feel “icky” and perhaps exacerbates negative ADD traits–some refined flour things, especially “gluten free” flour ingredients and hydrogenated or exotic oils like palm and soy oils. When I can again find one of the two granolas I can eat without this effect, I will compare ingredients directly.) OK, I looked one of them up online, and compared to the “bad” one at home, which has “natural flavors” – I’d forgotten that can include MSG. It also has rice flour (as do many “gluten free” snacks that I can’t eat), even though rice gives me no trouble.

Anyway, I’m not blaming my whole “icky/meh” feeling on P74, and I know I’m more sensitive to smells than most. As was pointed out in a PM, though, the self-effects I need / am looking for might be different than that I wish to project. Now to find a happy medium. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sad about the smell. Put your cinnamon concoction on it, maybe? I love P74, the way people respond to me when I’m wearing it is just lovely. And that word specifically. Can’t wait to get more. The food thing is just bogus. I don’t have gluten issues - but don’t seem to be able to digest the gluten free stuff as easily. Why does everything have to be so damn tricky? I looked at a bag of potato chips yesterday, (as is my habit with all packaged foods I’ve not tried) and 4th ingredient was YEAST!

WTF is yeast doing in POTATO CHIPS??!!! Or couscous? Or PEANUTS?!

Bad enough I can’t afford to buy the tiny round loaves of yeast free bread from the Grainery. Yes, that’s how they spell it. Bad enough I can’t get rid of the yeast completely out of my diet; but potato chips? Really?

I feel for you. MSG does a number on me, too.

Yeast extract is a form of ADDED “natural” MSG.
You could likely buy or make Irish Soda Bread types for little money. They’re leavened with baking soda–like coffee cakes, but without the sugar. I think I have an easy recipe if you want it.

And PEANUT OIL on roasted, salted cashews. WTF? How dumb is that.

Tell me about it. Its not just yeast though its sugar. Its in every processed food.

I bought a bag of lettuce the other day and happened to look at the label and it had added sugar.

My chicken broth has it. For me sugar is the devil. I feel like shit when I use it.

I think I am OK with gluten in moderation but carbs in general go right to my ass. So while I dont avoid gluten I do avoid wheat.

It does get complicated though

I haven’t seen soda bread here. It’s ok, tho’, Oz recipe is called ‘damper’ and I have a couple of recipes. I just get sick of it super quick and it doesn’t fill. Totally defeats the purpose of a bread.

Peanut oil on cashews. Of course. Let’s cook our steaks in lamb fat.

Well I have an Irish Oat Bread, made with oats and oat flour, so much more filling with the whole grains and fibre, and you can often add seeds and or nuts to them. I use skim milk in place of water, to up the protein as well. Honey or brown sugar instead of sugar for the added flavor. Often you can use fruit puree in place of at least some of the oil, and I always use butter instead of oil, or olive oil, if it’s a savory bread.

Hey, steaks in BACON grease for those who forgo pork. :stuck_out_tongue:

What is that? I don’t have a gluten problem, but refined (even non-gluten) flours seem to get to me sometimes. (Homemade white-flour simple bread I’m fine with.) If I eat too much sugar, or only sugary things for a meal, it makes my stomach icky. I wonder what the process is, or if this combination of things has an easy name?

Oh I know you dont, people always assume that I have a gluten problem when I mention my wheat problem though so I am used to leading with "I dont have a gluten problem. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sugar makes me crash mid afternoon. Could be my age to LOL I read somewhere that sugar activates the same part of the brain as herion and its just as addictive. Then they sneak it in everything so you buy more crap.

Have you ever tried coconut flour or oils. I cook in the oil and its really good. Bread is not so good with the flour but muffins come out nice.

Tisha

Sounds interesting. I don’t like sugar in my bread. One of my BIG dislikes here: bread is not supposed to be sweet!

If someone doesn’t do pork - why would they fry a steak in bacon fat? That’s not kosher :open_mouth::smiley:

Exactly! Someone allergic to peanuts can’t eat peanut-oiled-cashews, either. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, yeast breads need sugar to rise, and other breads–people put sugar in things in a poor attempt at covering bad taste/ingredients, like coffee, or steak sauce on steak. :open_mouth: Using good, naturally sweet ingredients, little or no added sugar is needed.

I’m fine with spelt and oat flours, wheat too. I use olive oil and butter, and avoid coconut oil in packaged things, as I wonder if it’s not just another tropical oil my invisibly-hued Scandinavian ancestors wouldn’t have developed an enzyme for. :open_mouth: I don’t really have time to try substitutions to favorite recipes. I mostly avoid ALL packaged things, as a matter of fact. And I have found the less sugar I eat, the less I want. It’s been that way my whole life; food first.
