Self conscious about the fragrances?

A little background first…

I rarely wear anything scented- deodorant, cologne, aftershave, etc, with the exception that I occasionally wear something not-too-powerful occasionally or if I go out- Acqua di Gio or CK Eternity in small amounts. When I apply cologne, I usually spray it into the air in front of me and walk into the mist.

Today I tried A314 for the first time, it smells pretty darn good, but I can’t help but think that I’m walking around in a big cloud of fragrance, and I only used one drop this time.

Realistically, how strong is the smell?
Has anyone been around someone else wearing it?

It seemed to have interesting effects on others too
I work in a fairly male dominated workplace, which entails process chemistry and development chemistry. Almost by a process of natural selection, the people who stay in this type of work (at least at my worksite) are very intelligent and physically imposing (out of the 11 guys I work with, only one is under 6’, most are over 220lbs or are very fit).
As you can imagine, a lot of ballbusting goes back and forth every day, especially since we all have worked together in one place or another together for the last 15 years.
Today, everyone was very polite to me. Most of the conversation when I was around was light and we had the normal amount of laughs, but the darker fun stuff didn’t come out.

I don’t know. I think I might not use this stuff at work except for the days that I have to argue with the accountants over equipment.

I’m exactly the same way when it comes to wearing cologne. I have 5 commercial bottles and have had them for 5-9 years. I also get the same reaction when I wear A314 —> instant respect all in a bottle

Don’t worry too much about the scent - you won’t be that annoying cologne guy. I’ve never had a problem with it or experienced any negative hits while using it.

I love wearing cologne. But I have been a little self conscious about the smell of IS. Especially when I’m standing in line to clock on in the mornings at work. I put two sprays on and it smells quite strong. The smell is addictive too, it’s not like a nice cologne smell but I just cant stop sniffing myself. :open_mouth:

I don’t like being the cologne guy, either. But when ladies stop me and ask, “What is that scent you’re wearing? It smells so good!” I overlook the self-consiousness. This almost always happens with Ammo and Shine together.

I was one of the first to arrive at a christmas party, along with 6 other guys. I wore Instand Jerk that night and kind of stood back until the place filled up a bit.

Another similar party, a big guy asked his friend, “Hey Ben! Is that you that smells real purdy tonight?” I said it was me and we all kind of had a good laugh.
