Too bad she didn’t play Aeon Flux.
But she’s been a more typical girl, too, you know.
For awhile, Milla was smoking pot to the point of complete and utter inebriation of her consciousness (check out the album she did while stoned), hanging out with the big guys with small brains, and basically letting life control her and not the other way around.
If I remember correctly, the turning point for her was doing the Million Dollar Motel. The role she played helped her realize the fluidity of reality.
Anyway, I know what you mean. I actually prefer strong women, as well, and it’s NOT because I’m weak or I liked being dominated (in fact, I hate that!)
Rather, I prefer both people in a relationship to be powerful.
I like the differences to lie elsewhere, not in the power structure. I want someone as powerful as me, but in different areas, so we have things to teach each other. We each have something new to present to each other every day.
And when we work on things together, or do anything together… it’s all intensity, baby.
Unfortunately, the women that can maintain a truly powerful state with consistency are few and far between. I can’t say I’ve ever known one. Rather, the best of the best seem to have elongated spurts of “coolness”, then have a year or more of downtime.
In terms of actresses, take Angelina Jolie, too. Has she been persistently “with it” and “together” in her life? Definitely not.
It almost seems built into women to have a time when they kick back and do nothing exceptional. I don’t know why, and I really wish it wasn’t that way.
At least at your age, you have women in your age range that are fueled with the intensity of youth. In their youth, many women are vibrant. Now if they only kept their luster…
On a related topic, I think there’s nothing sexier than older women who are still beautiful and vibrant.
Men like younger women for their beauty, you know, because they’re better to “mate with” and all of those biological concerns… but really, what is more “proven” in terms of genetic viability? A younger women who’s beautiful and vibrant, or an older one?
An older women who’s still beautiful and vibrant is proven. Proven to be able to maintain a presence that most women can’t or don’t care to.
From a purely genetic perspective, you’d know her genes are more than likely superior to an also pretty younger womens.
I hate the show, for instance, but Samantha (played by Kim Kattrall) on Sex in the City is damn sexy to me.
I’ve never met her, so I don’t know if the actress is at all like her character… but she’s still an older women who’s beautiful and obviously has enough energy and spunk to play such a character. I’m not even really into blonds more than any other “type”, so it’s not that.
Some say the same thing about the actress in the O-verstock.com commercials.
